Sen. Chuck Schumer helped spread a fake news story about vandalism in a Jewish cemetery in Brooklyn. Will he apologize?
The New York senator, who has been busy obstructing President Donald Trump and the Republicans, took some time out recently to help an accused child predator fight Trump’s travel ban and get a visa to come into the United States.
Maybe he just didn’t have time to properly vet the story before sharing it with his social media followers.
NYPD says anti-Semitic incidents up 94%. Brooklyn’s Washington Cemetery is another appalling example. It must stop. https://t.co/gtq3ZYP91v

Assemblyman Dov Hikind helped spread the story.

The Democrats are holding as tightly to tying anti-Semitic incidents to President Trump as they are in pushing the “Russia hacked the election” conspiracy theory but this “incident” didn’t occur.
The damage the headstones at the Jewish cemetery was due to years of neglect, according to a spokesperson for the NYPD that spoke to DNAInfo.
“It was old damage, years if not decades,” the spokesperson said.
“There was not vandalism, it is wrong information,” a spokesperson for the Washington Cemetery in Brooklyn, said.
Your move senator.
