A former senior official for the Obama administration denied that Trump Tower was ever wiretapped.
“This did not happen. It is false. Wrong,” the unnamed official told CNN.
The official said that the president could not order that type of investigation.
It would have to have been done by investigators, but the official said that didn’t happen either.
The denial came after President Donald Trump said, in a tweetstorm on Saturday, that former President Obama wiretapped Trump Tower prior to the election.
