James Woods jumps on stage, hijacks award show during host Patton Oswalt’s anti-Trump jokes

James Woods stole the spotlight, and a shoe, from Patton Oswalt at the WGA Awards.

Comedian Patton Oswalt hosted the event on Sunday and incorporated an ample amount of jokes knocking President Donald Trump, who he’s made no secret of loathing on social media.

At one point the “King of Queens” star said he was going to go easy on President Trump “because I don’t want to be kicked to death by James Woods backstage.”

It was then that Woods got out of his seat and reached for Oswalt’s leg and took off his shoe.

Woods then got on stage and held the shoe, which was a sneaker, aloft for all to see as he mocked Oswalt.

“Didn’t you see Crazy, Wonderful Love, or whatever it was called? Get some shoes!” the conservative actor quipped.

Some on social media believed the moment might have been staged but Oswalt said that was not the case.

Oswalt and Woods further opined on the moment and a burgeoning friendship may be born.
