How did the mainstream media respond to President Donald Trump calling them “very fake news?”
Headline after headline on Thursday was that President Trump essentially “forced” New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie to eat meatloaf.
Really.
Christie told the “Boomer and Carton” sports radio talk show that the president pushed the meatloaf, stating that it was “fabulous.”
Chuck Todd cries foul over Trump’s media beat down, promptly pummeled with slew of wake-up calls
“This is what it’s like to be with Trump: He says, ‘There’s the menu, you guys order whatever you want,’” Christie said. “And then he says, ‘Chris, you and I are going to have the meatloaf.'”
“He tells you what you’re eating?” host Craig Carton asked the governor.
“Yeah, and I said we’re going to have the meatloaf?” Christie said. “And he said, ‘I’m telling you, the meatloaf is fabulous.'”
A comedic story to most normal people.
But to the mainstream media it shows the president as an ogre forcing a man to eat something he didn’t want to.
It wasn’t the top story on alt-left news websites like MoveOn.org or Occupy Democrats, where one might expect it to be.
It was the top news from places like the Associated Press, the Boston Globe, the Huffington Post and CNBC.

The ridiculousness of the story was mocked on social media.
Here’s the thing, when your Top Story is ‘Chris Christie said that President Trump made me order meat loaf,’ MSM you may have a problem.

“Chris Christie” Being metaphorical about Trump’s meeting style. Idiot liberals see it as a literal meatloaf ordering story. No hope left.
