A single mother in Utah gave her son a memory to cherish forever.
Whitney Kittrell shared her story, and a photo that has since gone viral, to her Instagram on Wednesday describing what she did to make her son’s day special.
Her son “came home with a paper saying that they were having “dads and doughnuts” event at his school, and Kittrell decided to attend, and do it in style.
The single mother put on her “best dad outfit, painted on some facial hair, and went to breakfast with” her son.
And it was his response as she was leaving that made it more than worthwhile for her.
“When I went to leave he ran after me and hugged me tight around my neck and whispered ‘mom… I know that you’ll always be there and do anything for me. Thank you. I love you’ kissed my cheek and ran off,” she wrote.
The photo has now been shared by 100,000 people on social media.
