Gay fashion fans attack Dolce And Gabbana for dressing Melania, Stefano sets them straight

Fashion designer Dolce And Gabbana found themselves in hot water with gay fans after it complimented America’s next first lady Melania Trump on her appearance in one of its dresses.

Stefano Gabbana, one of the founders of the brand, posted a photo to his Instagram account of Trump in one of the company’s beautiful dresses and captioned with his thanks and five hearts.

@corriere ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ grazie

The photo set off a firestorm, particularly among the brand’s gay fans, as Gabbana himself is gay.

The designer took particular umbrage to being called gay as he said he is a man whose private life is his own business.

Some threatened to boycott the brand.
