A college professor and author who bragged that his husband spotted Ivanka Trump and her family and was “chasing them down to harass them” may now have to pay for those words with his job.
A petition demanding Hunter College fire the professor, Matthew Lasner, for his “immature and cruel harassment of Ivanka Trump and her family” has gained over 10,000 signatures.
“Someone like Mr Lasner, who would harass a mother and her child simply trying to go about their day, does not deserve the honor of teaching,” says the petition created by Right Wing Millennials.

Lasner, an associate professor of urban studies, tweeted a picture of his husband, attorney Dan Goldstein, harassing Trump on a Jetblue flight they were subsequently removed from Thursday.
The professor deleted that tweet and posted another that claimed Goldstein “expressed his displeasure in a calm tone” before he eventually deleted his Twitter account.
Comedian Steve Martin’s Carrie Fisher tweet falls victim to the PC-police. What a shame.
“The fact that he tried to cover up and change the story around to avoid the consequences of his actions is also a testament to his character. He is NOT a good example for our youth,” the petitioners wrote.
