Despite not getting much love from Hollywood it looks like Donald Trump has friends in low places.
Country music star Garth Brooks is in talks to take the stage Jan. 20 to celebrate the inauguration of the new president, Reuters reported.
“Garth has performed for the five living presidents,” Nancy Seltzer, his publicist, said. “While rumor has it that he has been asked to perform for President-elect Trump, he has not been able to commit yet.”
Brooks was on stage for President Obama’s first inauguration in 2009 and has no reservations about performing for President-elect Trump either.
“It’s always about serving,” the star told TMZ earlier this month. “It’s what you do.”
And as rumors circulate that Trump is having issues finding A-list talent for his inauguration, his inaugural committee spokesman Boris Epshteyn said that couldn’t be further from the truth.
“We have world-class talent, world-class entertainers reaching out to us offering their help, offering their services so no struggle, whatsoever,” he told ABC News.
