Liberal website Vox.com — a lefty site that claims to “explain” things to its apparently stupid readers — has decided to “explain” what “white people” need to do to make sure President Donald Trump is stopped even if he does become president of the United States.
The article was written by Brittany Packnett, an African-American black power activist and Black Lives Matter advocate who was appointed to President Obama’s 21st Century Policing Task Force. Packnett decided to ask the tiny number of white people she knows what they felt about Trump’s election and then went on to “Voxsplain” what they must do to keep Trump from succeeding at anything.
“White people elected Trump,” Packnett wrote. “And white people must fight the worst effects of his administration.”
One wonders how it would have been received if when Obama was elected some white writer would have said, “Black people elected Obama. And black people must fight the worst effects of his administration.”
Regardless, Packnett claims that blacks are “continuously being assaulted” in the United States and went on to say that even though “not all white people” voted for Trump, that doesn’t matter because Trump is still the fault of white people. Sort of sounds like a racist position, doesn’t it?
Without a single ounce of proof, Packnett goes on to say Trump will push “white supremacy” as president. This, the writer says, is why all Americans, especially whites, need to oppose him.
Packnett also says it’s not the job of “the oppressed” to fight Trump. It is white people’s job because they are the majority.
She admits that many voters voted for Trump to usher in “change” and do not expect or want any racist policies. But that change, she says, is to usher in racism no matter what the voters want.
“But your change is our catastrophe. And your ability to ignore the catastrophe is evidence of blinding privilege,” Packnett wrote.
Packnett also attacks white liberals for not doing enough to push her black power cause.
And white people, you give permission to this culture every day you do nothing more than have “conversations on race.” You don’t get to just have conversations anymore. You don’t get to just wear a safety pin and call yourself an ally. You don’t get to just talk while the rest of us fear for our lives because discrimination, rape culture, and xenophobia just won the White House.
From there Packnett went on to “Voxsplain” how whites need to attack “white supremacy” and to “recognize” their “white privilege.”
In the end, Brittany Packnett thinks all white people are racists who need to be bullied into accepting that “truth” and then they need to sally forth and destroy Donald Trump and his presidency before he even makes his first move.
Of course, one of the writers’ biggest problems is that her finger-pointing, her hateful accusations, and her discounting of the intelligence of whites is exactly one of the reasons her candidate lost.
