This 9-year-old with cerebral palsy just tried to stand for the National Anthem

Even as big, tough, 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick hates the United States so much he can’t see his way clear to stand for the playing of the national anthem, a Michigan mother shared a touching video of a small boy who can’t even walk without the aid of a walker but who can stand for our national song.

The mother of 9-year-old Logan posted a video of her son struggling to stand for the national anthem despite the fact that he is wracked with cerebral palsy.

Logan loves watching sports on TV, he’s a big fan of the Detroit Lions and Detroit Tigers, and even plays baseball in a special needs baseball league.

“Logan was born 3 1/2 months early weighing 1 pound 10 ounces and spent 6 months in the NICU. He was diagnosed with spastic quad cerebral palsy and doctors told his mother his quality of life would be almost nothing,” Fox News reports.

His  mom posted the touching video to her Facebook page with a caption reading, “Even my 9-year-old with CP (who can’t walk) knows you’re supposed to stand up during the national anthem…He loves it!”

Naturally, the video has gone viral.
