Federal law to mandate ‘trans’ bathrooms: Over 9,000 government buildings will now have to comply

Barack Obama has found yet another way to push his radical gay agenda on the country and this time he’s making us all pay for it with our tax dollars by decreeing that all federal buildings offer transgender bathrooms.

A new regulation has been handed down by the Obama administration that allows men who claim to be women to use any bathroom they feel like using at any given time when visiting or working at federal facilities managed by the General Services Administration.

The new rule was put into place last week, according to the Heritage Foundation’s Daily Signal.

The decree applies to the 9,200 properties and buildings the federal government oversees including post offices, courthouses, research laboratories, office buildings and the like.

GSA spokesman Ashley Nash-Hahn said the new rule “affects all kinds of Americans,” but of course really only applies in essence to people who claim to be transgender. “We wanted to make clear that a person can use facilities that match their gender identity, and we think that’s a good thing,” Nash-Hahn said.

It applies to bathrooms as well as locker rooms and dressing rooms and will require new signage at a cost to be paid by the taxpayer.

While the far left is hailing Obama’s forced bathroom rule, others are less enthused.

“It’s really social engineering when many people of faith, people of modesty, and people who have safety concerns are being ignored,” said Roger Severino, director of the Devos Center for Religion and Civil Society at The Heritage Foundation.

Severino also predicted that there will be lawsuits filed against Obama for the move.

“There’s a good chance you will see lawsuits brought against this regulation and the more that are filed, the sooner the administration will get the message,” Severino said.

Meanwhile, all this is being done for perhaps no more than a few thousand Americans who claim to be transgender. A recent study found that only as few as 0.6 percent of the country identifies as transgender, and that study was generous with its determinations.

But that isn’t all. Another scientific study found that there really isn’t any legitimate basis to the whole idea of transgenderism.

“Examining research from the biological, psychological, and social sciences, this report shows that some of the most frequently heard claims about sexuality and gender are not supported by scientific evidence,” the report stated.

“The hypothesis that gender identity is an innate, fixed property of human beings that is independent of biological sex — that a person might be ‘a man trapped in a woman’s body’ or ‘a woman trapped in a man’s body’ — is not supported by scientific evidence,” the authors noted.
