UN human rights chief compares Donald Trump’s ‘half-truths and oversimplification’ to ISIS

Once again we get a far left, statist European liberal using foolish rhetoric to protect his massive government edifice, this time the U.N.’s human rights chief claims that Donald Trump is “just like ISIS.”

In fact, Zeid Ra’ad al-Hussein, who is the so-called United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, tried to have it both ways by claiming conservative leaders are “just like” ISIS, then saying they weren’t, then reiterating that they really are, The Blaze reported..

The Jordan-born Zeid didn’t just attack Trump. He named all the center right leaders in Europe right alongside Trump. As far as Zeid is concerned Trump, Dutch nationalist Geert Wilders, Prime Minister Viktor Orban of Hungary, French far-right leader Marine Le Pen, and Nigel Farage, the man who led the Brexit movement in Britain.

All these people, Zeid said, are guilty of the “banalization of bigotry” and run propaganda “just like” ISIS does.

But seemingly aware that his accusation was as untoward as it was ridiculous, Zeid tried to soften his point a bit by saying these conservative leaders aren’t exactly like ISIS, even as he then turned around and reiterated that they really are just like ISIS.

“Make no mistake, I certainly do not equate the actions of nationalist demagogues with those of [ISIS], which are monstrous, sickening; [ISIS] must be brought to justice. But in its mode of communication, its use of half-truths and oversimplification, the propaganda of [ISIS] uses tactics similar to those of the populists.

Then he went another outrageous step farther by saying that without these conservative movements sprouting up all across the west, ISIS couldn’t thrive.

“And both sides of this equation benefit from each other — indeed would not expand in influence without each others’ actions,” Zeid insisted.

That’s right. This “human rights” minister claimed that ISIS couldn’t grow without conservatives in the west helping them!

Zeid next got on his high horse and wagged his finger saying, “We will not be bullied by you the bully, nor fooled by you the deceiver, not again.”

The U.N.’s “human rights” chief even laid out what he claimed was the process conservatives use to fool the electorate.

“…make people, already nervous, feel terrible, and then emphasize it’s all because of a group, lying within, foreign and menacing.”

“Then make your target audience feel good by offering up what is a fantasy to them, but a horrendous injustice to others. Inflame and quench, repeat many times over, until anxiety has been hardened into hatred,” he said.

…”We hear of accelerating discrimination in workplaces. Children are being shamed and shunned for their ethnic and religious origins” and being told “they are not ‘really’ European,” Zeid said. “Entire communities are being smeared with suspicion of collusion with terrorists.”

Zeid seems to have missed the fact that terror attacks have been occurring all across Europe almost on a daily basis and the worries over terrorism is not just some manipulative fantasy being pushed by “racist” conservatives.
