A group of animal rights protesters did the unthinkable. They got Hillary Clinton to be silent for a few seconds.
It happened at a campaign rally in Las Vegas on Thursday just before Clinton was going to deliver remarks to support U.S. Senate candidate Catherine Cortez Masto, ABC News reported.
One of the protesters tried to broach the buffer area between the audience and Clinton, which caused Secret Service agents to rush the stage and surround the Democrat presidential nominee.
“You’re OK. Keep talking, you handled it. We’re not going anywhere,” one of the agents said to her.
When Clinton realized the protesters cause was pushing for animal rights, she quickly used the opportunity to take a shot at her Republican opponent.
“We’ll keep talking and apparently these people are here to protest Trump,” she said. “Because Trump and his kids have killed a lot of animals, so thank you for making that point.”
