George Zimmerman seems to relish his infamy.
The man who shot Trayvon Martin, a shooting that sparked the Black Lives Matter movement, talked about selling his gun, called President Obama a “racist” and said Hillary Clinton was “lying” about him in a half hour interview with KMTV Tuesday.
Zimmerman smoked a cigar at various times as he shared his thoughts on a variety of topics.
“I knew I had something of value, which ironically the Black Lives Matter and the manipulating media, I’m not saying you of course, I am just saying in general, they are the ones that gave it it’s value,” he said of the gun he recently sold for over $100,000. “I mean you can’t blame me I mean I would have sold it for $350 if that is what its value was. The ironic part is they made it worth at least a quarter of a million dollars. They gave me a quarter of a million dollars.”
Of the Martin shooting in 2012, he said he “would have done anything” to have not had to kill the teen in self-defense.
He said that Obama, along with Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson are guilty of “igniting racial tensions in America” and accused the president of allowing the Black Panthers to put a bounty on his head.
The former neighborhood watch leader also likened himself to America’s Founding Fathers.
“I could do as our forefathers: put it on the line and say I want to do whatever it takes to make this country right again,” he said.
