Rosie O’Donnell compared Donald Trump to three pop culture characters in one interview.
The comedian and former host of “The View” appeared on WABC’s “Election Central with Rita Cosby” where she declared her support for Hillary Clinton and fired another shot in her long-standing feud with Donald Trump.
“You have to decide. Are you going to be with the Force or are you going to be on the dark side?” she asked according to WABC Radio. “It’s your choice. Just like Harry Potter, he’s like Lord Voldemort. You know stay away from the dementor.”
O’Donnell, who mocked Trump by singing about tiny hands in a Broadway appearance earlier this month, praised Fox News’ Megyn Kelly for confronting Trump at the first GOP presidential debate about his comments on women.
“The only person who had the guts to stand up to him about it was Megyn Kelly,” she said. “Megyn Kelly was a superhero, fighter for the truth when she said that, and he revealed who he was with his answer.”
Then she made her third fictional character reference.
“He is the worst representation of what the United States is or could be. He is everything we should reject as a nation,” she told WABC Radio. “He’s like a bully for the mafia. Like he thinks that he can shut you up, like he’s Tony Soprano.”
O’Donnell thinks Texas Sen. ted Cruz might be a worse option.
“He seems even, if possible, more dangerous than Donald Trump because he’s an actual politician. He’s dangerous, as well,” she said.
