Voters caught in Bernie Sanders “free” stuff euphoria ought to take a look at his tax plan.
Fox News invited two tax experts on to discuss the plans of all the candidates on Saturday and how they would affect middle-income Americans.
Under Obama’s current tax plan a family of four making $80,000 a year pays around $327 per week, according to Fox News.
That would stay about the same if Hillary Clinton were elected president, but if Sanders took the reigns the cost would shoot about $206 per week higher, according the tax lawyer Russell Sullivan.
On the flip side, if Donald Trump were to get his tax plan through, those same Americans could expect a savings of about $106 weekly whereas Ted Cruz plan would net them a $31 savings, according to Scott Hodge, president of The Tax Foundation.
Hodge said John Kasich’s plan hasn’t been fully unveiled but his guess is that it would fall between Trump and Cruz.
