What is it with Democrat politicians and FBI investigations?
New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio has found himself entangled in an FBI probe as an investigation into corruption in the New York Police Department has expanded to look into his campaign fundraising, the New York Post reported.
The mayor’s campaign took donations from real estate investor Jona Rechnitz, who is at the center of the scandal, suspected of giving expensive gifts to top police officials for favors.

Rechnitz donated $50,000 to de Blasio’s non-profit, Campaign for One New York and he and his wife each donated the maximum allowed amount of $9,900 to the mayor’s election campaign.
The investor also helped the mayor as a bundler, bringing in more than $40,000 for the de Blasio’s campaign, the Post reported.
“We are fully confident that the campaign has conducted itself legally and appropriately at all times,” de Blasio campaign spokesman Dan Levitan told the Post.
Unlike Democrat presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton however, the mayor isn’t laughing off the FBI probe.
De Blasio closed the Campaign for One New York a month ago, though he said it is because it had accomplished its goal and not because of the scandal. He just announced he will give back the $9,900 each that Rechnitz and his wife gave him, according to the Post.
Apparently, however, he will keep the bundled donations and the $50,000 donation to the non-profit.
