The women of “The View” talked about Donald Trump’s campaign manager Corey Lewandowski being charged with battery only to turn around and fawn over a questionable guest – especially considering the circumstances.

Co-host Paula Farris initially declared she was on “Team Michelle” until she saw the video of Lewandowski barely grabbing hold of Michelle Fields’ arm at the March event in Florida; Farris doubled back that she didn’t see Fields being jerked backwards as she had claimed.

“I didn’t see that, I’m sorry, and I think that does a disservice to female journalists out there, everywhere,” Farris said. “When you’re in the scrum you’re literally jockeying for position, and that stuff happens.”

Her co-host Michelle Collins, a devout liberal, not surprisingly took an entirely different stance.

“Let’s always err on not putting our hands on a woman,” she said. “I don’t know why that guy was even touching her to begin with.”

Yes, not putting your hands on a woman is fantastic advice.

Which brings us to the show’s first guest Wednesday, Naomi Campbell, who host Whoopi Goldberg praised as “fierce” when she came out on stage to excited applause.

Fierce is a good word for Campbell … if you don’t want to use the term serial abuser.

Between 1998 to 2009, Campbell was accused of committing violent acts against 11 people, many of whom were her own employees, and was convicted in four of the cases.

She served sentences that included fines and community service in the U.S. for assaulting her female housekeeper, probation in Sicily for assaulting a photographer, and community service in the U.K. where she was banned from British Airways after she assaulted two police officers.

For a person so concerned about assaults on women, Collins, nor anyone on ‘The View,” made mention of Campbell’s extensive violent history.

Selective outrage at it’s finest.
