A Sonic is being scolded for adding a side of God’s word to its burgers and fries.
The Missouri restaurant received nationwide attention after reports that it was including stickers with Bible verses with customer’s receipts.
The franchise in Raymore has been doing that for a long time, according to KHSB, but recently some on social media have begun complaining about it.
“Please do not plaster religious dogma on every customer’s bag. If someone wants passages from a mythological text with their food, let them ask for it,” Jason Hunt wrote on the company’s Facebook page.
Others shared Hunt’s sentiment, but they were far outweighed by customer’s who support the franchise and its sticker policy.
“I enjoy getting the Bible verses. I see nothing wrong with it. If you don’t like it, don’t read them,” customer Jane Edmonson Curry wrote.
“Thanks for the Bible verse stickers! You made my day! God bless you,” Carla Vickery Rudichuk wrote.
The company said the positive response was so overwhelming it had to order more stickers.
