Audience gets earful when oblivious news anchors don’t realize they’re interviewing prank caller

This is what happens when people stick to the teleprompter.

During last weekend’s massive snowstorm a prank caller phoned into a local TV news station, WRC-TV in Washington, D.C., and identified himself as Jason Bond of the Virginia Department of Transportation.

Discussing cars stranded on the roadways he told the anchors “My drug dealer and prostitute were on the way and they couldn’t get it delivered.”

Yet the anchors kept talking to him as he continued making similar outrageous statements.

At one point reporter Adam Tuss waved wildly at the camera to get the attention of the anchors to let them know what was going on but it was to no avail as the oblivious anchors continued talking to the fraudsters.
