What would you do if you won the Powerball?
Not long-term plans, but in the immediate aftermath of striking the pot of gold.
If you are like most people, your reaction would look similar to the jubilee expressed by workers at a New Jersey restaurant who were convinced they had won the jackpot.
The bartender, cooks and waiters at Grissini’s Restaurant in Englewood Cliffs jumped for joy after they read Wednesday’s wining Powerball numbers and realized they had a match.
One of the workers quit his job on the spot, NBC New York reported.
The ticket’s numbers were 2, 11, 47, 62, 63 and the Powerball was 17 — an exact match for Wednesday’s winning numbers.
Unfortunately for the revelers, the ticket they held was for Saturday’s drawing.
“I still can’t believe it,” one of the workers, Charlie Poveromo, told NBC New York. “What a feeling.”
