Haters politicize Adam West’s death, remember his ‘thank you’ tweet to Donald Trump

On Saturday it was reported that America lost a national treasure as the original Batman, Adam West, died.

And it took literally minutes for his death to be politicized.

John Ziegler, a columnist for the often left-leaning news website Mediaite, attempted to make a comparison of West’s Batman to President Trump.

But it just looked like a pathetic and weak attempt at humor that fell flat.

In 2015, the original caped crusader, who also played the role of the mayor of the fictional town of Quahog Rhode Island in the “Family Guy” series, sent a tongue-in-cheek tweet to the future president.

After future President Trump told a young boy on the campaign trail that he was Batman, West “thanked” him for removing the “crimefighting weight” from his shoulder.

West died Friday night in Los Angeles of leukemia, according to a statement released by his family.

He was surrounded by his family.

West leaves behind his wife Marcelle, six children, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
