ICE posts biggest arrest day yet—and open-borders activists are furious

Members of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement continue to do their jobs despite massive pushback from the radical left.

ICE announced a record number of Rio Grande Valley arrests were made in Harlingen, Texas, resulting in 238 illegal aliens being detained in a single day.

The June 18 operation resulted in the capture of illegal aliens convicted of “kidnapping, sexual battery and drug possession,” ICE reported, according to Fox News Digital

“The ICE mission continues to focus on enhancing public safety and restoring integrity to our nation’s immigration system,” ICE Harlingen Field Office Director Juan Agudelo said in a statement.

“We will stop at nothing to keep our American communities safe by removing one criminal illegal alien at a time,” he said.

Fox News Congressional Correspondent Bill Melugin reported on the news and included a statement from ICE:

The report comes as controversy brews over an order for ICE to temporarily pause traffic stops following the death of two illegal aliens during ICE operations.

President Trump blasted the temporary pause on the same day that the report was released, saying it plays “right into the criminal’s hands.”

“We CANNOT give up one of ICE’s most important and effective Crime Fighting tools, THE TRAFFIC STOP!” Trump railed on Truth Social.

DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin allegedly gave the pause order without input from the president, but appeared to receive Trump’s message loud and clear:
