‘You just pissed me off!’ Florida sheriff blasts reporter for distracting from child predator sting

A Florida sheriff berated a reporter who tried to ask an unrelated question at a press conference on a child predator operation.

Marion County Sheriff Billy Woods was not having it on Thursday, coming unglued on a reporter who tried to ask Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier and Florida Highway Patrol Colonel Gary Howze a question about an unrelated case.

The question sought to get information about a woman who claims that FHP arrested her incorrectly after accusing her of being responsible for a fatal car crash in October 2025. All charges were eventually dropped against the woman, identified as Lindsey Isaacs, but she is still suing regarding the emotional distress, humiliation, and reputational harm she suffered after spending 13 days in jail.

Woods was not about to let the presser stray from its intended purpose: Naming and shaming accused child predators.

“Alright so you just pissed me off,” the sheriff said after hearing the question. “Now I’ll let him decide if he’s going to answer your question but out of all of this s**t, you want to ask him about some other case? We’re talking about children. Now if you’re getting that from one of your people that typically is behind the phones that y’all have that wants you to ask that question, tell ’em to have the gonads to come here and ask me that question.”

“That is what you need to be focused on,” he continued, gesturing aggressively at the sting arrest information.

“To be fair, we did ask about that…” the reporter chimed in.

“It doesn’t make a difference, I’m not here to talk about what FHP did. I’m here to talk about what they did. Nothing else. Let’s get that abundantly clear, cuz it happens to this poor man all the time. You want to go off on a tangent. This press conference is solely for those pieces of s**t that are right there. Are we clear?”
