Patriotic post triggers Army to probe why a military helicopter hovered near Kid Rock’s home

An idling military helicopter has sparked an Army investigation after it was caught hanging out very close to Kid Rock’s Tennessee home.

The artist posted a video of himself saluting and applauding the hovering helicopter, calling it a “level of respect that shit-for-brains Governor of California will never know.”

“God Bless America and all those who have made the ultimate sacrifice to defend her,” he added.

The aircraft were reportedly taking part in a training run when the pilot decided to stop by Rock’s estate, which, despite the singer’s pleased response, was not as exciting for their boss.

Army spokesperson Maj. Montrell Russell confirmed that there was an investigation “to assess the mission and verify compliance with regulations and airspace requirements.”

“The Army is aware of a video circulating online that appears to show AH‑64 Apache helicopters operating in the vicinity of a private residence in the Nashville area,” read a statement from Russell reported by Politico. “Army aviators must adhere to strict safety standards, professionalism, and established flight regulations.”

Maj. Jonathan Bless, a 101st Airborne Division public affairs officer, confirmed that there had been no request for a helicopter to visit the residence.

“The AH-64 Apache helicopter flew over Nashville’s ‘No Kings’ protest that same day, though Bless noted that the training run was unrelated to the nationwide demonstrations,” the New York Post reported.
