Mom rushes to blame cops and ‘society’ after son arrested at influencer giveaway-turned-riot

Life must be so much easier when nothing is ever your fault.

After her teen was arrested at the giveaway-turned-riot created by Twitch streamer Kai Cenat, mom Stacy Lucas immediately began an interference play that would make NFL coaches jealous. According to her, parents are not to blame for their children mindlessly following a social media influencer and engaging in violence against the police. In fact, the cops are to blame too!

“You cannot blame parents. This is the blame of society, of people who use their guns to harm rather than protect,” she said in a statement to New York Daily News. “For you to sit there and throw stones, get your crooked cops in order.”

Angel John, 19, was arrested during the melee and charged with assault unlawful assembly, though it’s also being said that he allegedly punched an officer in the face. Following the sudden and shocking gathering and subsequent violence, New York City Mayor Eric Adams came down hard on the parents of these youths for basically not teaching their children better.

“This is not a policing issue, [it] is a parenting issue. And we need to be clear on that. Police is the response after an incident happened. But this should be a proactive approach,” he explained to the apparent distaste of Lucas.

“And I wonder with the thousands of children who were there hurling dangerous objects at police officers disrespecting the residents in the area attacking each other? How many parents text their children?”

“That was a very disrespectful comment,” Lucas said of Adams’ statement. “They put their hands on my kids, not one but two of them, of course he’s going to feel threatened.”
