WH spox blames GOP lawmakers for illegal alien killing 5 people, ignores multiple deportations

For Democrats, every mass shooting represents an opportunity to relentlessly advance their anti-Second Amendment agenda while laying the bloodshed squarely at the feet of Republican lawmakers for holding out on legislation to disarm law-abiding Americans, and on Monday, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre did both in regards to an illegal alien who murdered five people, including a 9-year-old, over the weekend in Texas.

On Friday night in the city of Cleveland, which is around 40 miles from Houston, a 38-year-old Mexican national named Francisco Oropesa Perez-Torres allegedly reacted to a neighbor’s complaints about him drunkenly firing his rifle late at night and disturbing a sleeping baby by entering the home and proceeding to slaughter family members before fleeing, setting off a massive manhunt for the murderous criminal who according to reports, had already been deported multiple times.

During her remarks at the daily briefing. President Biden’s top spokesperson, who was sporting a new hairdo, shamed congressional Republicans for holding out against intense pressure to advance a ban on assault weapons that some believe is the proverbial camel’s nose under the tent for a wider future effort to confiscate firearms.

Jean-Pierre did not bother mentioning that the alleged shooter is an illegal alien who was only able to carry out the execution-style killings because of her boss’s failed immigration policies.

“On Friday evening, a nine-year-old child was murdered along with four others in yet another shocking, horrific act of gun violence in America, this time in Cleveland, Texas,” she said. “Two of the women killed were discovered on top of surviving children and appeared to be shielding them from gunfire.”

“In all, five people were murdered by an individual armed with a powerful AR-15-style rifle,” she continued. “As the manhunt for the suspected assailant continues, we urge the public to heed all guidance from law enforcement officials and stay safe. Federal law enforcement agencies have been providing assistance and support to local law enforcement as they work to respond to this tragedy and locate the suspect,” she added, omitting the fact that the alleged killer had been deported AT LEAST four times, according to authorities.

“The president was briefed on the shooting on Saturday morning and he and the first lady are praying for those killed in the attack, for their surviving loved ones, and for the broader Cleveland community,” Jean-Pierre said. “But the president believes prayers alone are not enough. Congress must act because what makes tragedies like this one all the more heart-wrenching, is the fact that it is entirely within our power to take these weapons of war off our streets. The majority of Americans and the majority of gun owners support common-sense measures to reduce gun violence. The president continues to believe that Congress must act without delay.”

“It’s not too late to save lives and prevent the next mass shooting,” she added.

Wilson Garcia, the homeowner who asked the killer to be quiet after he and his wife put their one-year-old baby to bed, recalled the terrifying events of the incident to a local ABC affiliate.

“We had company. We were going to make something to eat, the guy, came out and he was shooting. We asked him to be quiet ’cause my baby was scared,” he said via a translator. “I never thought that he would shoot. Then he went room to room, looking for people.”
