President Joe Biden refused to answer whether there would be accountability for China over unleashing COVID on the world, scurrying away from reporters who posed the question at the White House on Friday.
Now that the cat is out of the bag that the virus most likely originated at a Chinese bio lab as the result of a leak and not from a bat from a wet market – a theory that even Biden’s own FBI Director Christopher Wray confirmed earlier this week – calls for punishment of the communist nation are growing louder but so far, the 80-year-old president has declined to address the issue.
The “leader” of the free world’s embarrassing retreat was captured on video by NTD News White House Correspondent Iris Tao who posted the footage to Twitter where it has since gone viral.
“On COVID origins, will you hold China accountable?” Tao asked as Biden approached the reporters, briefly stared at them, and then threw up his hands and stalked off across the lawn toward Marine One, the presidential helicopter.

The political left was put on the defensive over a bombshell Wall Street Journal report that the U.S. Energy Department has concluded that the virus that led to unprecedented measures, including lockdowns and mask and vaccine mandates, was probably unleashed due to a leak at the Wuhan lab, according to a classified intelligence report that was recently provided to the Biden White House and members of Congress.
In the aftermath of the WSJ report, the Senate voted on Wednesday to pass legislation that would require the Biden administration to declassify all intelligence related to the Wuhan Institute of Virology and possible links to the virus that paralyzed America as the regime’s official COVID narrative suffered another major blow although the possibility exists that Biden will veto any bill on such transparency that reaches his desk.
While the deeply unpopular president couldn’t be bothered to address the very serious question about China and COVID, others are demanding that Beijing pay a steep price.
“It’s been three years since COVID-19 upended our lives, and we’re still asking basic questions about the origins of this virus. That’s unacceptable,” said Republican Rep Mike Gallagher of Wisconsin.
“The question of how this pandemic began is the most important question in the world, and we should not continue to waste precious time waiting for the Chinese Communist Party to suddenly cooperate with U.S. officials and open up access to the Wuhan Institute of Virology,” the chairman of the new House Select Committee on China told Fox News Digital.
“It’s time for Congress to act and force the administration to declassify the relevant intelligence surrounding the pandemic,” Gallagher added.
Other Republicans have also called for China to face consequences over the lab leak since the Wall Street Journal story broke.
The recent news about the lab leak theory only underscores the extent to which Communist China influences the World Health Organization.

Re. China’s lab leak, being proven right doesn’t matter.
What matters is holding the Chinese Communist Party accountable so this doesn’t happen again.

There’s no justice without accountability. We now know Covid-19 started in a Chinese lab. We must unapologetically hold accountable the culprits who lied about – both in the U.S. and in China. I’ll discuss this and more shortly on @MorningsMaria.https://t.co/FzLVxZxvuJ

Biden has been reluctant to address the gravely serious threats to national security posed by China, a global powerhouse that many believe is the nation’s most dangerous adversary and one that has been emboldened by the weakness coming from the White House.
Last month, the geriatric gaffe machine refused to answer a reporter who asked, “Is your ability to deal with China compromised by your family’s business relationships in China?”
“Give me a break, man,” said the prickly Biden, refusing to take additional questions.

The lack of a formal response over the lab leak, a possibility that the Chinese regime and its sock puppets in the U.S. dismissed as a conspiracy theory, is only going to further embolden Xi Jinping and his aggressive communists while Biden and the rest of his government are preoccupied with a border war in Ukraine, giving time for Beijing to patiently plot its next steps, possibly the hostile takeover of Taiwan while Biden is sleeping at the switch.
