Alarm bells ring when critics uncover hidden ‘woke’ AI provision in recent Biden executive order

Despite his campaign trail assurances that he would be a unifier and the media’s blatantly false narrative that he was a moderate, President Joe Biden’s actions have shown him to be the most extreme leader in the nation’s history, one who rules by edict through a seemingly endless series of executive orders that have laid the groundwork for the fundamental transformation of America.

Last week, Biden issued another one of his decrees that circumvent the legislative process and if the diktat for all federal agencies to produce annual “equity action” plans wasn’t bad enough, it is a provision that was buried deep inside of the order that lays the groundwork for the creation of a national Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI) bureaucracy that has caught the attention of critics who are warning that it would create a “woke” artificial intelligence (AI) that “promotes racial division and discrimination.”

In the section under “Embedding Equity into Government-wide Processes,” the order instructs the Director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) “to support equitable decision-making, promote equitable deployment of financial and technical assistance, and assist agencies in advancing equity, as appropriate and wherever possible.”

The section also addresses the use of AI, a technological advance that is already being widely implemented in society, giving the further instructions, “When designing, developing, acquiring, and using artificial intelligence and automated systems in the Federal Government, agencies shall do so, consistent with applicable law, in a manner that advances equity.”

One critic who is sounding the alarm is investigative journalist Christopher F. Rufo whose intrepid and tireless work has shed sunlight on the societal menace of Critical Race Theory and other forms of left-wing “woke” indoctrination that had previously flown under the radar, largely due to a lack of establishment media scrutiny.

“Biden’s new executive order creating a national DEI bureaucracy has a special mandate for woke AI. The order instructs the federal government to ‘[protect] the public from algorithmic discrimination’ and to deploy AI systems ‘in a manner that advances equity,’” Rufo wrote on Twitter along with a screenshot of the troubling language from Biden’s EO.

“Biden is not a moderate. This is a legal sprint to inject as much radical ideology as broadly and as deeply as possible in our government. This cannot be allowed,” said Colin Wright, a fellow at the Manhattan Institute. “If Republicans take office, they must fully root out all of this ideological and social cancer.”

“The worst possible scenario imaginable for our future. Our children and their children will be suffering the consequences of this mandate. AI is about to change the world in unprecedented ways, the last thing we need is an AI that promotes racial division and discrimination,” tweeted software developer Jon Schlinkert.

“Remember my prediction that humans will not allow AI to form its own opinions on anything important or to tell the truth as it sees it. It would be too destructive,” tweeted Dilbert creator Scott Adams.
