Diversity, inclusion, and equity efforts have certainly allowed President Joe Biden to check off an array of staffing firsts in his administration, but the divergence from meritocracy left Kellyanne Conway to predict continuing to do so would make “demographics become destiny.”

Following an opening segment where Fox News host Laura Ingraham presented examples of how leftists, having supplanted achievements with optics, have installed the likes of Vice President Kamala Harris and Assistant Health Secretary Admiral Rachel Levine, Conway joined “The Ingraham Angle” to say her piece.
The former senior counselor to President Donald Trump retraced how the COVID response lead to an awakening of parents regarding their children’s curriculum and how “they quickly discovered that merit really is not important anymore.”
Examples of this can be seen throughout the current administration, and Conway selected Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas and Harris as a few in telling the host, “I have a big problem with all the ‘first,’ ‘first,’ ‘first’ in this administration. I’m glad you called it out because I believe that each of these characters should be remembered for their action and inactions.”
“We have the first black Secretary of Defense for example at the Pentagon, but he presided over the withdrawal of Afghanistan,” she reminded. “What’s the point of having the first female vice president if the Afghan women are less free, have fewer rights because she and her bosses are there?”
“We have the first immigrant who’s at DHS and he’s presided over 3.5 million illegal immigrants coming to this country and record number of drugs. And one of my favorites, I mean…guess who they have at the top. They have the old, rich, white guy who’s been in Washington for 50 years.” the guest continued.
As she had put it, “if you remove merit from the equation, if everything that we’ve been taught by our parents and grandparents that we’re teaching to our own children, Laura, that if you work hard, you pay your dues, you get a little lucky, you just grind it out, you stick with it, you face rejection and you pick yourself up, you’re resilient, you keep fighting, you keep working then something will come of it and you will make a difference–if we remove all of that, everybody’s demographics become destiny.”
“You’re basically telling everyone that their immutable characteristics like their race and their gender and the year they were born or their socioeconomic status, that those will be…what defines them,” Conway argued.
One simple conclusion, she offered with a wink, would be to temporarily embrace the woke culture and show Biden the door. “So why don’t we do what Texas A&M did and go to the White House and take down the picture of the old, white guy who’s president and say we can no longer have you here? Who needs another election? Let’s just do that based on merit.”
“But here’s the big problem,” she suggested, “the Democrats are stuck with Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. They can’t get rid of her even though 21 senior staffers have left the vice president’s office–these are supposed to be dream jobs, they’ve left her.”
