Nurse given light sentence after injecting THOUSANDS with saline instead of COVID vaccine

A German nurse believed to have injected more than 10,000 patients with saline rather than the COVID-19 vaccine has been sentenced to six months probation.

Identified as only Antje T, the 40-year-old Red Cross nurse was found guilty of six counts of intentional assault and had her medical license revoked, according to Germany’s NDR network.

Antje admitted to improperly vaccinating six individuals, claiming she broke a vial of BioNTech Pfizer vaccine with six doses and was embarrassed to tell her coworkers.

Police contend the nurse’s ideology was the motivator for the substitution rather than shame over an accident because the accused allegedly shared vaccine-skeptical views on social media.

“The accused had shared various conspiracy theories on the Internet and on social media,” court spokesperson Torben Toelle said. “However, the chamber could not determine with the necessary certainty that this set of ideas was the motive for her actions and that she then acted to sabotage a vaccination campaign.”

Her attorney contends that the two issues are unrelated, claiming her social media posts are irrelevant, simply a matter of freedom of speech and not indicative of a greater scheme.

“She had merely tried to make up for spilled vaccine with leftovers from other ampoules,” her attorney Christoph Klatt attested.

Originally believed to have improperly jabbed 8,500 people between March and April 2021, officials in the district of Friesland increased the number of possible victims on Friday to 10,186 after a review of Antje’s scheduled shifts and overtime.

Those believed to have been impacted by Antje’s actions have been encouraged by German authorities to get re-vaccinated.

Police investigator Peter Beer said that based on witness statements there was “a reasonable suspicion of danger” to patients beyond the six Antje admitted to injecting with the saltwater solution and encouraged all contacted to get vaccinated. Police contend antibody testing proves Antje injected more than six patients with saline.

“Affected are predominantly people over 70 years, which visited a vaccination center in Schortens between 5 March and 24 April,” NDR reported. “In addition, employees of hospices and mobile care services, educators and doctors had been vaccinated during this period.”

As of Friday, 5,000 patients registered for re-vaccination with several thousand more reaching out to a special hotline to verify the safety of a second jab in the event that Antje hadn’t swapped the vaccine during their visit.

“Repeat vaccination is advisable and unproblematic even if the vaccination was successful,” claimed Corona deputy crisis staff director Claudia Schröder. “It is completely harmless. And that’s why it’s the tool of choice now.”

Officials cannot say if any of Antje’s patients contracted coronavirus following the administration of saline rather than the vaccine because they do not track data in that manner.

“These are reporting data that are not overlaid here – also for data protection reasons,” a Health Ministry spokeswoman said.

German officials expressed sadness and disgust after the news broke.

“I am totally shocked by this episode,” Sven Ambrosy, a local councilor, said on Facebook.

Twitter was divided over the news, with many calling Antje a hero and others criticizing Germany’s weak punishment.
