In the latest twist in the bizarre story of the attack on Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s husband in the couple’s San Francisco home, NBC aired and then scrubbed a report with new details of what happened when police showed up that conflicts with the official account of what exactly went down in the Pacific Heights neighborhood early last Friday morning.
Following Paul Pelosi’s release from the hospital where he was treated for a fractured skull as a result of being struck in the head with a hammer by 42-year-old David DePape, NBC’s Miguel Almaguer reported from the scene of the crime that aired on Friday morning’s edition of the “TODAY Show” citing sources that said that when the cops showed up, the front door was opened by none other than the 82-year-old stock-picking wizard himself.

Additionally, NBC reported that Pelosi “did not immediately declare an emergency or try to leave his home but instead began walking several feet back into the foyer toward the assailant and away from police,” explosive details that have only raised more questions about a murky and constantly shifting story that many feel just doesn’t add up.
With the high-stakes midterm elections now only four days away and Democrats using the bludgeoning of Pelosi as a key component of their closing arguments, NBC yanked Almaguer’s report, scrubbing it from the website as well as from Twitter with the vague explanation being that it “did not meet our reporting standards,” but not before it was captured and widely circulated on the internet.
Democrats and their media allies have expended much effort over the last several days decrying the “conspiracy theorists” who continue to ask legitimate questions about the Pelosi incident and NBC’s move to quickly disappear their own reporting down the memory hole has only reinforced the perception of those whose harbor suspicions that they haven’t been given the entire scoop.
