With Election Day around the corner, various reports have emerged that Hispanics are trending toward the GOP in what could be a significant political realignment.
During a Houston Town Hall on “The Ingraham Angle,” three Republican U.S. House candidates from Texas underscored that the motivation is the same for other constituencies who share the same fundamental values revolving around the American Dream.
That is, voters have become understandably disillusioned with paternalistic, pandering Democrats who have created an American nightmare.
And, as such, voting red is a practical response to the disastrous Biden/Pelosi/Schumer big-spending agenda that has eviscerated the U.S. economy. The regime’s open-borders policy/catastrophe is also a major issue.

On the other hand, myopic U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.), spouting some tired left-wing talking points, claims that the Democrat Party hasn’t even tried to bring Latinos over to their column.
In the video clip embedded above, U.S. Rep. and America First star Mayra Flores (R-Tex.) told Fox News host Laura Ingraham that the Congressional [Democrat] Hispanic Caucus has rejected her membership in the group.
Noting the irony, Flores explained that “I became the first Mexican-born congresswoman ever elected in Congress. And that’s not good enough for them. And this shows they’re not for the Hispanic community. Their just there for their political party.”
Flores was the winner of a June special election that flipped a longtime south Texas blue seat to red, and she is seeking to retain her incumbency in the upcoming midterm voting in a contest against Rep. Vincente Gonzalez, who switched districts.

She went on to say about the Democrats-only club, “I don’t need them. The Hispanic community doesn’t need them. We are the real voice…we stand for the values that we were raised with. God, family, and hard work…I want to put the American people first. Vincente Gonzalez wants to put the government first…it is time that we put all Americans first…”
Republican candidate Casey Garcia, who is running against incumbent Democrat Henry Cuellar in another south Texas district, further underscored that “Hispanic voters — we are common-sense voters. We believe in the American Dream, and we are tired of the Biden/Pelosi /Cuellar agenda. We are hard-working; we want a strong and secure border, and that’s why we are seeing that shift in Hispanic voters because the Democrat Party has left the Hispanic community.”
She also asserted that “as a lifelong south Texan, and the wife of a Border Patrol agent, people are hurting in south Texas with the Biden/Pelosi agenda. High prices — we talk about record inflation, unsecure border…[people are] having to make difficult decisions whether to put gas in their car or food on the table…right now, people are fed up with this administration, and they’re ready for change in this district.”
Garcia also recalled how she is getting crossover votes from Democrats “because of the values of faith, family, and freedom.”
Another GOP hopeful, Monica De La Cruz, explained that “at the end of the day, the Biden/Pelosi economic agenda has just destroyed the American Dream for Hispanics, but also for all Texans. And what we’re seeing, as a single mom like myself, we’re seeing that Hispanics are voting with their wallets…that’s why I think in November, we’re going to see a huge shift of Democrats continuing to leave the Democrat Party and permanently come to the Republican Party.”
In a cringe interview on Pod Save America, same-old, same-old, America Last AOC made remarks that seem focused on non-U.S. citizens:
“I can at least say with Latino voters, we’ve never tried as a party. The Democratic Party has not tried in terms of Latino electorates. I mean, where’s our DREAM Act? Where is our immigration reform? And even recently with President Biden’s marijuana executive order, I very much applaud that he went there, but he exempted people who were convicted if they were convicted while they were undocumented. And that is 90 percent,” Ocasio-Cortez said.

“We’re looking at the overwhelming majority of people who have been convicted, that would benefit from that pardon, have status, like they have status complications. And so we really need to step up both in our efforts on campaign and but also our efforts in governance,” she added.
Ocasio-Cortez, who according to the Democratic Socialists of America website, “is DSA’s foremost socialist superstar,” also played the gender card by acknowledging that male voters, in general, are abandoning her party.
She was recently the subject of left-wing protests because of the way she has sold-out her constituents by voting to send billions of U.S. taxpayer dollars to Ukraine.

Ocasio-Cortez is the virtue-signaling, go along to get along, politician Fox News host Tucker Carlson nicknamed “Sandy from Westchester.”
This is apparently s a way to call attention to the upscale suburban neighborhood where she actually grew up in contrast to the working-class Bronx-area district that she represents, or claims to.
