New poll shows Dr. Oz lagging ‘tattooed everyman’ John Fetterman in critical PA Senate race

The quest by Republicans to retake control of the Senate in the upcoming midterm elections could be much more difficult with celebrity physician Dr.Mehmet Oz continuing to trail Democrat John Fetterman in Pennsylvania.

In a new Marist poll that was released on Tuesday, the “tattooed everyman” is clobbering Oz by 7-10 points with six weeks until decision day as the GOP candidate struggles to gain traction despite serious questions as to Fetterman’s ability to hold up to the rigors of office due to a recent stroke and his stance on crime.

According to Marist, “Democrat John Fetterman (51%) has a 10-point lead over Republican Mehmet Oz (41%) in the contest for U.S. Senate in Pennsylvania, among registered voters statewide, including those who are undecided yet leaning toward a candidate. Fetterman’s lead narrows to seven points (51% for Fetterman to 44% for Oz) among those who say they definitely plan to vote.”

In more bad news for the GOP, “Fetterman (55%) leads Oz (33%) by 22 points among independents. A notable 11% are undecided. Fetterman is ahead of Oz among most demographic groups. Notable exceptions are Republicans, white Evangelical Christians, white voters without a college education, and voters living in rural areas,” according to Marist

A win by Fetterman – the state’s current lieutenant governor – would flip the seat to Democrats. The current incumbent, Republican Pat Toomey is retiring at the end of his current term and the race will be a big factor in whether the GOP can retake the Senate.

Oz’s inability to catch fire only provides fodder to those who have criticized his conservative credentials and Fetterman’s own stumbles show that he is certainly vulnerable but unlike Oz, he’s from Pennsylvania and that matters to voters who by electing Democrats, have shown that they are indifferent to their own suffering.

Dr. Oz has been hammering away at his opponent for ducking debating him, only agreeing to one face-off in late October, shielding himself from a dismal performance with mail-in voting already in progress.

In one of the most wicked campaign ads ever, Oz labeled Fetterman as “the most radical candidate in the country” in a spot that featured the top of his bald head flipping open and releasing the craziness that he represents, including appearances by AOC and Bernie Sanders.

Fetterman continues to appeal to the base, holding cringeworthy rallies like a recent one in Joe Biden’s hometown of Scranton that showed that he has no place in the U.S. Senate.

In another rally, the candidate with a menacing appearance pandered to rabid feminists and pro-abortion radicals, proclaiming “My name is John Fetterwoman!”

According to Marist, “A plurality of adults (45%) has a favorable impression of Fetterman while 39% have an unfavorable one. Oz’s favorable rating is upside down (30% favorable to 51% unfavorable). Close to one in five residents have either never heard of or are unsure how to rate Fetterman (17%) or Oz (19%).”

Fetterman’s appeal considering his extreme left-wing policy positions speaks volumes about the electorate in the Keystone State.
