Trump accuses Fox News of pushing ‘Democrat agenda’ hard, offers CNN advice on how to pounce

Former President Donald J. Trump expressed dissatisfaction with the direction at Fox News, which he suggested is going soft on Democrats while offering up a potential solution to its competitor CNN, which is in the midst of a shakeup amid dismal ratings.

On Sunday, Trump took to his Truth Social platform to release a bolt out of the blue, accusing Fox News of promoting the Democrat agenda and coddling Democrat guests, specifically naming former White House official Karl Rove whom he slammed as “unwatchable” and seemingly putting out a feeler to CNN which he suggested could benefit greatly by going conservative, which he offered to help it do.

“Wow! Fox News is really pushing the Democrats and the Democrat agenda. Gets worse every single day. So many Dems interviewed with only softball questions, then Republican counterparts get creamed. RINO Karl Rove is unwatchable, very negative, and on all the time – Has a big record of losing! Not an easy place to be as a Republican, especially with all of the ‘pervert’ purchased ads. If ‘low ratings’ CNN ever went Conservative, they would be an absolute gold mine, and I would help them to do so,” Trump wrote.

The former president also referred to “pervert” ad buys although he didn’t provide any specifics.

It’s inconceivable that Trump would have ever extended an olive branch to CNN, which has savaged him for years, if Jeff Zucker was still at the helm. New captain Chris Licht wasted little time in beginning to steer the network in a new direction, jettisoning flaming leftist Brian Stelter and putting staffers on notice that the housecleaning has only begun.

The latest big name to depart CNN was veteran anchor John Harwood who was a fierce critic of Trump, with rumors swirling that more big names could also be on the chopping block.

Last month, former Mediaite managing editor Jon Nicosia, who has his finger on the pulse of the industry tweeted, “Source: Once the coming shakeup at [CNN] is done, don’t expect John Berman, Alisyn Camerota, Jim Acosta, Brianna Keilar, Jake Tapper, John King, and Don Lemon to still be at the network OR have their current show assignments.”

Despite frequently appearing on Fox News which he praised during his time in the White House, Trump’s relationship with the conservative network has cooled considerably with him criticizing its direction, especially since former Republican Speaker of the House Paul Ryan joined the network’s board.

“Did anyone notice that Fox News went lame (bad!) when weak RINO Paul Ryan, who is despised in the Great State of Wisconsin for being ‘a pathetic loser,’ went on the Fox Board. They won’t even talk about an obviously Rigged 2020 Presidential Election, not even a mention. That’s why our Country is going to HELL – Elections have consequences. Get Ryan off your Board and report the News as it should be reported…And stop taking negative ads from the perverts, and others!!!” Trump wrote on Truth Social in January, also mentioning “perverts” and ads.

Trump’s perception of Fox News shilling for the Democrats comes after former White House press secretary Jen Psaki privately met with Fox News to lobby for more positive coverage of the Biden regime.

“Any given day on foxnews.com, millions of readers see negative stories about the Biden administration’s handling of the economy, crime, immigration, and Covid-19, among many other topics. But over the past year, the White House has worked behind the scenes to get more of its perspective on Fox’s website,” Politico’s “West Wing Playbook” reported in June.
