A Texas man has shared a video purportedly of a police officer taking down an F–k Joe Biden flag from his property while no one was home.
Michael Prather, who says he lives down the street from the mayor, uploaded to TikTok what appears to a doorbell cam video of the cop’s alleged unilateral FJB banner ban.
In a series of TikTok videos, Prather provided background information about the controversy and responded to various online comments (*warning for language) which you can review and draw your own conclusions.
“Pottsboro, TX PD coming to my house take my flag down while my family and I are gone. I’m tired of this! Pottsboro PD only wants to do things to a few but not to others. I need help!!,” Prather wrote on the social media platform next to the flag-removal video.

The officer appeared to leave the flag on the porch along with his business card.
Prather claims that the same officer — noting the profanity — warned him back in October on behest of the police chief, when he first unveiled the FJB flag, that he, Prather, could face a disorderly conduct charge unless he took it down.
Prather insisted at the time that flying the flag was a form of protected free speech under the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, and that he’s willing to sit down with local authorities to discuss the situation.
He also claimed that the officer told him flying the same flag on his pickup truck was acceptable.
The Texas man says he has contacted nine different attorneys, but so far none of them expressed interest in representing him in a potential legal case. He also pointed out that his home is not situated in a subdivision subject to any restrictions imposed by a homeowner’s association.
In another short TikTok video, Prather asserted that the town has no flag ordinance on the books. He added that a court order is required to declare something a public nuisance, and that only the police chief is authorized to remove anything deemed a nuisance. A relevant state law is silent about flags, he also contended.
An appreciative Prather noted that he’s received feedback from other law enforcement officers in particular who disagreed with what the local cop did and expressing the opinion that the latter acted unlawfully.
“I didn’t understand that this was gonna be so viral,” Prather explained while displaying the flag in question on camera. “Yes, [the flag] says F–k Biden, and F–k you for voting for him. So yes, I guess you could say that it’s a pro-Trump flag…”
As alluded to above, Prather said that the mayor drives past his house every day on the way to the nearby municipal offices. “And my resources [are] saying that he’s a registered Republican, but in all reality, he’s a liberal. Just like the other person that is just north of him is a liberal…And my resources [are] saying that they’re the complainants. They are crying about it; they don’t like it. I say f–k them. You don’t like it? Kiss my a–.”
