Latino group takes Biden to task on ‘values’ after historic GOP victory in South Texas

After Republicans flipped deep blue south Texas in Tuesday’s special election, any hopes Democrats might have had of containing the impending “Red Wave” in November are fast fading.

Now, adding insult to injury, the Latino organization Bienvenido In Action is taking the opportunity to rip Joe Biden and his party, releasing a statement that takes Democrats to task over their reckless and unpopular policies, and their woke mockery of Hispanic culture.

“By electing Republican Mayra Flores to Congress, Hispanics are telling the rest of the country that we are fed up with reckless liberal policies and want change,” the statement reads. “Mayra won because she ran a campaign rooted in our community’s values: God, Family, and Country.”

Republican Mayra Flores beat Democrat Dan Sanchez on Tuesday to represent Texas’ 34th Congressional District. Flores is “the first GOP candidate to represent that area of the Rio Grande Valley since 1870,” and she’s also the first United States congresswoman born in Mexico, according to the Houston Chronicle.

That’s an awful lot of firsts for a woman of color who doesn’t have a “D” next to her name—and it’s hard to imagine any of that sitting well with the Democratic Party.

Bienvenido In Action is a grassroots organization whose mission is to pave the way for patriotic Latino leaders to get involved and make a difference in the country. The organization also believes Tuesday’s election sent a “powerful message” to the country.

“Meanwhile,” the group’s statement continued, “Joe Biden and the Democrats have made life more expensive for Hispanics, our neighborhoods less safe, and a mockery of our culture.

“While gas prices go through the roof and families struggle to find baby formula, Biden and the left have weakened our communities, radicalized our school curricula, and even tried imposing offensive terms like ‘Latinx’ to upend our language. In Washington, Mayra will fight for the American values of Texas’ 34th congressional district. Bienvenido In Action is proud to have worked with Mayra since the start of her campaign and we look forward to her leadership in Congress.”

The district that Flores won on Tuesday night used to be held by Representative Filemon Vela, a Democrat. Vela stepped down earlier this year to pursue a lobbyist gig, amidst clear indications that being a Democrat in Congress this year wasn’t exactly a smart career move for the upwardly mobile.

Despite being a solidly Democratic preserve for over a century and a half, the Rio Grande Valley region of Texas has been ruined by Biden’s reckless border policies—another clear example of the indifference of the Democratic Party to the suffering of their most loyal constituencies so long as the greater objective of demographic change and acquiring greater national power is achieved.

“Flores campaigned hard on her story as the wife of a U.S. Border Patrol agent and as a Mexican immigrant whose parents brought her to the United States as a young child,” the Texas Tribune reported.

“She mostly ignored Sanchez but took a sharp tone against Washington, D.C., Democrats in general. In one of her TV ads, she said the Rio Grande Valley is ‘under attack’ at the border and promised not to let the ‘compadrismo’—cronyism— ‘in Washington ruin our communities.'”

Democrats, meanwhile, are passing the race off as a fluke, confident that the upcoming gerrymandering of the district will allow them to regain the seat in November.

For now, however, Mayra Flores is basking in her newfound stardom. Even Elon Musk, ever-ready to weigh in on cultural matters, tweeted his support, saying that he voted for her and predicting a “Massive red wave” in 2022.

  1. I really wish that Latinos not be called “people of color”! I am Puerto Rican and I have plenty of relatives that are whiter than Europeans and blacker than Africans. In any case, 90 years of liberal policies have come home to roost. Abortions, high crime, drug addictions, sexual immorality, fiscal crises, STDs, lack of moral standards, racism, poverty, the list goes on. Conservatism is much better suited for building and sustaining a society. Liberalism is good for destroying the fabric of society!

  2. An encouraging sign, but, lets not get carried away just yet, as, very little has been done to restore election integrity in most of our 50 states. So, we shouldnt be surprised if the dems steal many of the midterms in November.

  3. As crooked as the dems are, I don’t think there’s anything they can do to stay in power. They’ve shown the world who they really are, and no one likes it!

    1. Well, if they’re brazen enough to cheat again –and there’s good evidence they did it in Georgia, of all places– they may just take it. The real question is, supposing they do, what would happen next?
