Visitor logs show Biden White House has been hosting numerous ‘defund the police’ activists

They say we are the company we keep. If that’s true, the Biden administration’s continued fraternization with prominent members of the “defund the police” movement speaks volumes about its ideological orientation.

It also puts the lie to its frequent disavowal of any connection to the movement, since Fox News is now reporting that the White House’s visitor logs record more than a few visits of top activists connected with this far-left initiative to the White House over the past year. For the most part, bowing to the pressures of public polls and trying to avoid the bad optics of anti-police rhetoric, President Joe Biden has attempted to maintain a pro-police image.

But this has set his administration at odds with the “abolish the police” wing of the Democratic Party and its far-left ideologues, and this is likely why he’s appointed far-left activists associated with the movement to important posts in his administration—including Associate Attorney General Vanita Gupta and EPA nominee Carlton Waterhouse.

Now the White House visitor logs show that a motley assortment of anti-police activists appear to be quite welcome there.

For instance, Rashad Robinson, president of the group Color of Change, a left-wing organization that loudly advocates for defunding the police, visited the White House last summer. Color of Change was an active leader last year in the push to dismantle the Minneapolis Police Department, an attempt that was largely funded by George Soros’ Open Society Policy Center to the tune of half a million dollars.

“We know that policing doesn’t keep us safe, communities do,” states a petition from the organization that solicits support for its anti-police efforts. “Policing doesn’t lead to thriving communities, investment does. We must begin to envision the society that functions for ALL of us and we must begin by divesting from and dismantling the systems that unjustly harm Black people.”

Robinson has also frequently expressed support for convicted cop-killer Assata Shakur, who is on the FBI’s most wanted terrorist list and is currently a fugitive in Cuba. In fact, Robinson celebrated her birthday with calls for “bolder” and “louder” demands for dismantling the police, and accelerated “plans for revolution.” He’s also a board member of the Marguerite Casey Foundation, another left-wing organization involved in anti-police efforts.

Robinson isn’t the only far-left “defund the police” activist to spend some quality time at the White House. Carmen Rojas, who happens to be the President and CEO of the Marguerite Casey Foundation, reportedly visited the White House in December. Her support for abolishing police departments has been unequivocal.

“So many people are twisting themselves into word pretzels,” she tweeted in April of last year. “They say we need justice in one breathe & not all police are bad in the next. We must be unwavering in our commitment to freedom. The best way to realize it is to defund the police and support abolition. Period.”

In an earlier tweet from the very beginning of the George Floyd riots, Rojas tweeted a quotation that advocated for dismantling the “U.S. police force.”

“Abolishing police unions as part of the broader fight to defund, demilitarize, and ultimately dismantle the U.S. police force as it currently exists,” the tweet read. “Labor leaders should seize upon this crucial moment to fully embrace this aim—and some already have.”

And there have reportedly been other prominent anti-police activists who have visited the White House, including Latosha Brown, who has led efforts to defund sheriffs, and Tyler McMillan, who said in 2020 that “a defund to the police is a refund to the people.”

If one is known by the company one keeps, it seems safe to say that—despite his protestations to the contrary—Joe Biden, or whoever’s running his administration, is very supportive of far-left anti-police activism.

  1. Oh they have no intention of eliminating law enforcement when they say defund the police. The idea is Federal law enforcement not under state and local control. Law enforcement headed by the likes of James Comey and Andrew McCabe. They already pretty much control the school system through granting or withholding federal funds. Remember too that the Ministry of Truth wasnt cancelled, only paused, Guess who will be criminals under that.

  2. Investment over policing??? Throw money at people who have no ability, nor the will, to actually use it to create actual values??? Wasted money. These fools live in a world that doesnt exist. What they should do is close the holes under their noses until they decide to grow up. PU.

  3. Ok so they defund the cops. Ive heard of no good plan to replace cops with. Laws without enforcement and support is nothing more than words. That type of rethoric would create and open season on everyone by everyone. Total anarchy would be the end result. Of course the majority of it would be in the ghetto areas which might just be a good idea. You never miss something until its gone , but then its too late.

  4. Yeah, go ahead, let’s all DEFUND our police and sheriff’s departments. But keep this in mind, just who is going to come to your rescue when you have to dial the famous 9-1-1 numbers? Good luck with that.

  5. I hate this illegitimate administration. They’re going to push it to civil war no matter what. #FJB
