Three men swiped a bottle of liquor off the shelf in Houston, Texas and were probably disappointed that they didn’t end up with the expensive bottle of booze they thought they stole.
The May 23 incident was caught on security cameras and shows the unidentified Black males sauntering into a liquor store and gathering in front of a locked alcohol case before they ultimately took off with a bottle that turned out to be a decoy.
The Houston Police Department said the men asked an employee about a bottle of liquor priced at $4,200 so the employee unlocked the display case and retrieved the bottle, KRIV-TV reported.
One of the men grabbed it out of the employee’s hands and took off. A second man reached into the case himself and removed a box of the same liquor, but soon dropped it because it turned out to be an empty box.
Although the group made off with one pricey bottle, it turned out that the jokes on them.
Apparently, the employee explained to cops that the bottle was a fake and not worth anything near the $4,200 that the three men likely thought.
But skeptics noted that in this day and age, the criminals might end up turning the tables on the authorities and countersuing for being duped.
I wouldn’t be shocked if this is turned into a lawsuit of some sort. Probably for making them believe they were getting a higher quality product than what they actually procured. This is the kind of country we live in now.

But this is also the day and age where people encourage that kind of behavior. Look:
They should go to the police and claim deceptive pricing, and bait and switch.!😂😂

The three men are still at large and Crime Stoppers of Houston is offering a $5,000 cash reward for any information that could get the liquor thieves behind bars. Tips can be called into 713-222-TIPS.
The irony of the incident provided entertainment for many on social media who are fond of “dumb crook” stories.
I love dumb crook stories!

Fortunately for them, there has been no shortage of criminals who jinx themselves — like the Houston rapper that sang about robbing ATMs.
You’ll never guess the reason the rapper and his three buddies were arrested last Monday in Tennessee, less than two months after releasing a song where Ladesion Riley sings about how he’s “n***a” who “specialize in burglarizin” and hit the road in 40 states with “$150k up in this car.”
Surprise! They robbed an ATM.
“Four persons from Texas are in custody for the 10:40 a.m. robbery of a man servicing a Bank of America ATM on Thompson Lake. The suspects were apprehended just after checking out of a Dickson, TN motel,” the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department wrote on social media alongside photos of the bags of money recovered from the alleged criminals.

The singer goes by the name “213 Jugg god” on YouTube and sings about being a “Jug god.”
For the upstanding citizens that comprise the audience of BPR, “Juggin” is a slang term used for committing crimes — like robbing ATMs — in order to get cash.
