Republican Sen. John Barrasso of Wyoming told Fox News anchor John Roberts Wednesday that getting to an all-electric automobile fleet “cannot be done.”
“This is part of the great fantasy of the Democrats,” Barrasso said on “America Reports.”
“Last week talking about high energy prices, Pete Buttigieg, Secretary of Transportation, what did he say? What did the secretary of energy say? They said buy an electric car. People in Wyoming cannot afford that, they are $55,000 each,” he added.
The Biden administration admitted that the prices for gasoline and other energy sources will remain high through 2023.
“This is the high gas prices that so many Democrats have wanted for years to force people into electric cars,” Barrasso said.

Americans in 28 states face potential blackouts due to an inability of the power grid to shortfalls in electric generating capacity, the North American Electric Reliability Corporation reported last month. Mandates for renewable energy have been difficult to meet as solar and wind power have not been able to replace fossil fuels and nuclear plants, according to electric grid operators.
“Instead of buying an electric car, if you are in California with the coming blackouts, buy an electric generator, you are going to need it,” Barrasso said, describing the Biden administration as “tone deaf” and “out of touch.”
Barrasso did not immediately respond to a request for comment from The Daily Caller News Foundation.

That happened to me quite frequently. It’s part of why I haven’t posted anything to The American Wire for more than three weeks.
Solar power is a good option. However at this time and place it cannot be the only option. The infrastructure is not in place for it to be the only and sole source of power. Hey Biden, sticking your head up your ass will not permanently dye your hair brown again. Besides it makes you stink like schitt. If they really wanted to go solar, all the money they have given to foreign govs. would have bought a lot of units for americans to install on their homes. It could have drastically reduced the cost of solar power units for domestic use. The left wants it because they all own stock in solar companies and their waiting for their big pay-off. The average person cannot even afford the 5 to 10 dollar a gallon price for gas. Much less can the afford to pay 15 thousand times that for a new car. Come on Biden, clean that crap out of your ears and listen to us for a change. The only thing hes conservative with is his own bank account. When it comes to our bank account , hes very liberal in trying to force us to spend our own money. Had an employee once whose advice on getting rich was to get others to pay your way while hoarding your own finances . In other words , make everyone else carry your load for you. Dont pull your own weight.
