The Jan. 6th committee’s first public hearings will be held this upcoming week, and according to House Republican Conference chair Elise Stefanik, the GOP is 100 percent ready to fire back with a deluge of counter-programming.
In an interview this weekend with Breitbart News, Stefanik revealed that she, former President Donald Trump, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, and the rest of the GOP — sans Reps. Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger, both of whom are on the committee — will be on the job this upcoming week telling the public the real truth.
“All of the House Republicans will be pushing back in a rapid response fashion. You will see us all over the airwaves. We will be setting the record straight. We will be telling the truth to the American people, sharing the facts and also really pointing out how unprecedented and unconstitutional and illegitimate this committee is,” she said.
She added that, “similar to [what happened during] impeachment sham one and really impeachment sham two,” Republicans will be “out there every single day” via “lots of media bookings … talking about issues that matter to the American people.”
Issues like inflation, exorbitant gas prices, the baby formula shortage, and the porous border — issues that are being sidelined for a “circus” and “political witch hunt.”
Republicans will also be “prosecuting the case against how much Speaker Pelosi, Democrats, and Liz Cheney have failed this country, and they’ve failed to focus on the issue[s]” that really matter, the top GOP leader told Breitbart News.

As far as Stefanik’s concerned, the committee is about nothing more than punishing political opponents and targeting “patriotic Trump supporters.”
Indeed, just last week, former Trump administration official Peter Navarro was handcuffed and arrested for merely not responding to a subpoena request.
“They responded with effectively the same kind of thing you’d see in Stalin’s Russia or the Chinese Communist Party. … There was no reason on God’s good Earth for what they did today to an American citizen. That did not have to happen. It’s terrorism, it’s coercion. There’s no excuse for what they did today. America needs to know this,” Navarro said following his arrest.

The committee has been applying similar same tactics to members of Congress and their staffers.
“They have shred Congress as an institution, and they are invading on the privacy and really the speech and debate rights of all these elected members of Congress,” Stefanik said in her weekend interview with Breitbart News.
“And they’re targeting everyday citizens, young staffers who worked on the Trump campaign. It’s outrageous. These legal bills for these staffers are bankrupting these young families. So we’ll be out there leading every single day.”
According to Stefanik, the clearest proof that the committee is nothing but a politically motivated sham is its lack of interest and, in fact, outright opposition to addressing the real issue, a lack of adequate security at the U.S. Capitol.
“The only office that’s off limits from this investigation or any type of questions is Nancy Pelosi’s office. … Her office is off limits, whereas Mitch McConnell’s office turned over all documents, all communications related to the security posture of the U.S. Capitol. Nancy Pelosi failed to do that and refused to do that,” she said.
“Why? Because she is covering up. Because there were concerns about security that were raised with Speaker Pelosi’s office. She was concerned about political optics, and the Capitol was left vulnerable on that day. The American people deserve to know why Nancy Pelosi isn’t releasing those documents, and they deserve to know full transparency.”
Some might say that Cheney and Kinzinger’s obsession with former President Donald Trump is also proof of the committee’s politically motivated goals.

Despite the hate she faces daily from the raging left, Stefanik vowed in the Breitbart News interview that she’s not backing down.
“The left is, has been vile. They have targeted me so much in a vicious, vicious way, and I’m going to stand up for my constituents and the American people and continue to speak the truth and work with all of the House Republicans, with Kevin McCarthy with Jim Jordan to make sure that the facts are out there for the American people to know and expose what Nancy Pelosi does not want the American people to know,” she said.
“And if they want to provide excuses, which is what they always do to push back in the media, then turn over the documents. Where are the documents? Where the communications, Nancy? Until she does that, we know that she bears responsibility.”

Were Josef Stalin still alive, he`d have much admiration for the January 6 show trials that the dems have been putting on, as, this was one of his most brutal and effective tactics in getting rid of his opponents, while fooling the world into believing that this followed the rule of law.
Just like the impeachments, the Dims have overplayed their hand and will backfire on them, raising public awareness of their buffoonery.
