A Washington D.C. jury has acquitted former Hillary Clinton campaign lawyer Michael Sussmann for lying to the FBI, the latest sign that those who were behind the Russia collusion hoax won’t be held accountable for their crimes and yet another blow to the waning credibility of the justice system.
On Tuesday, in a move that many saw coming, the stacked jury pool which included three Clinton donors as well as one who donated to Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez returned the unanimous verdict that prosecutors failed to prove their case against Sussmann, a major blow to special counsel John Durham.
That the swamp would be biased against Durham’s case was evident by the results of the 2016 election when Hillary Clinton absolutely clobbered billionaire outsider Donald J. Trump in the district of elite privilege, winning 90.9 percent to 4.1 percent. In the trial of her henchman, it was always going to be a tough rock to roll to get a conviction that would tie her to the cornerstone of the falsehoods of the great Trump-Russia conspiracy theory.
A triumphant Sussmann crowed after the verdict, “I told the truth to the FBI and the jury clearly recognized that with their unanimous verdict today,” he said. “I’m grateful to the members of the jury for their careful and thoughtful service.”
“Despite being falsely accused, I’m relieved that justice ultimately prevailed in my case,” he added.

A defeated Durham had no comment as he left the courthouse but later issued a statement.
“While we are disappointed in the outcome, we respect the jury’s decision and thank them for their service. I also want to recognize and thank the investigators and the prosecution team for their dedicated efforts in seeking truth and justice in this case,” the Connecticut “bulldog” said.

Joe Concha of Fox News decried the jury’s decision.
“Donald Trump got 5.4% of the vote in Washington D.C. in 2020. Right?” Concha said on Tuesday’s edition of “Outnumbered” on Fox News. “So the fact that this jury was going to be sympathetic and friendly to Hillary Clinton’s campaign lawyer, is not surprising, especially when that jury had Clinton donors on it.”
“But I’m telling you, our faith in institutions just took another big hit as a result of this because this is a whole bowl of wrong,” he said. “Very frustrating to see, you have a man who peddled a lie to the FBI, lied that he was going there as a concerned citizen and then he turns around and bills the Clinton campaign for that visit to his friend James Baker. What else do you need?”
“But again, this jury was pre-dispositioned to have a not-guilty verdict, and here we are once again, another black eye for the justice system,” Concha said.

I'm shocked the DC Clinton donor jury let Clinton's lawyer off… HAHAHA just kidding, absolutely no one is shocked. Hunter Biden off next then Paul Pelosi etc etc. We all know how this goes by now… Only people not tied to the establishment DC swamp ever face accountability.

DC jury. Say no more

If you committed a non-violent crime on J6, you go to jail for years.
If you're a powerful Democrat who broke federal law while fabricating the Russia hoax to sabotage Donald Trump, you get acquitted by a jury of your donors.
Fair trials in Washington D.C. do not exist.

It didn't matter that Durham had receipts showing Sussmann was working for Hillary.
It didn't matter that his lie to the FBI about representing her was in writing.
It didn't matter he broke federal law to sabotage Trump.
DC's justice system will always cover for liberal elites

Sussman’s acquittal reeks of a criminal justice system that is as corrupt as our politicians.
Politics has infiltrated the DOJ, FBI, our courts and local and state law enforcement and @GOPLeader @LeaderMcConnell @SpeakerPelosi and @SenSchumer are all complicit. #SWAMP

Hillary Clinton and her lawyers repeatedly lied to and manipulated a gullible/willing FBI and corrupt media edifice, and continues to get away with it. Nice try John Durham; hope you have more in store. Don’t stop exposing the corruption rotting the FBI’s foundations!

The lesson of the Sussmann acquittal is that if you're in any way conservative and being tried in Washington DC, you're literally fucked.

Just remember, every new public example of our two-tier justice system inches us closer to something terrible in this country. There’s a shelf life on corrupt systems like ours.

Also weighing in after the verdict was Trump who didn’t mince words, summing up the situation as a whole as he sees it.
“Our Legal System is CORRUPT, our judges (and Justices!) are highly partisan, compromised or just plain scared, our Borders are OPEN, our Elections are Rigged, Inflation is RAMPANT, gas prices and food costs are ‘through the roof,’ our Military ‘Leadership’ is Woke, our Country is going to HELL, and Michael Sussmann is not guilty. How’s everything else doing? Enjoy your day!!!” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

Democrats and their fellow travelers took to Twitter to celebrate as champagne corks were popped across the swamp.
So does this mean Durham isn’t going to lock Hillary up? Weird.

I never delved heavily into the Sussman case, but have been wondering for a while: Is this case as stupid as it looks?
Apparently it was, and a jury thought so as well.

Yes: "This is a case of extraordinary prosecutorial overreach." Time to can Durham. https://t.co/s8P4xEqVrh

The Durham verdict is a little reminder:
Donald Fucking Trump DID fucking collude with fucking Russia
— Keith Olbermann (@KeithOlbermann) May 31, 2022
Sussmann not guilty. Extremely fast verdict. more or less total humiliation for Durham. Jury presumably recognized the picayune pettiness of the case.
— Harry Litman (@harrylitman) May 31, 2022
Hahahahahahh 😂😂😂😂😂!!!!! John Durham goes down to defeat as Michael Sussman is acquitted today. A trial that Trump and MAGA have followed daily arguing it was going to lead to the prosecution of Hillary Clinton. https://t.co/7Y4iex05eW

While leftists spiked the ball, their shortsighted glee over sticking it to Durham – and by extension, Trump himself – serves as an exclamation point on their disdain for longstanding American institutions, and their deft ability to manipulate the legal system for political means will likely have lasting consequences in terms of how millions of Americans now view it as an illegitimate two-tier system that has been rigged against them.
