On a day set aside for the solemn remembrance of those who paid the ultimate price to guarantee freedom, there are some who revel in their freedom to tweet out silly missives, one of them being blue-check lawyer Daniel Goldman, the House Democrats’ lead counsel for the failed impeachment of former President Donald J. Trump.
Described in glowing terms by The New York Times as one of the “gladiators of impeachment,” Goldman took to the social media platform to rage against Trump and Republican lawmakers whom he derisively referred to as “the Trumpettes in Congress” as well as tens of millions of Americans with a pompous message that essentially spits on the graves of those who sacrificed their lives for the cheap and shoddy purpose of partisan politics.
“On this Memorial Day, with democracy under attack from Donald Trump and the Trumpettes in Congress and around the country, let us remember those who have given their lives to defend and protect the greatest democracy on Earth. Let their memory guide us towards a better future,” tweeted the leftist legal eagle.

Not surprisingly, Goldman was pummeled by Twitter users for his hijacking of a day when America’s fallen heroes are remembered.
Why would you take a day of remembering our fallen hero’s and tie it into something political?

Of all days to cause more divide… You sir are wrong as a Veteran I’m appalled by your comment

two relatives of mine died in WWII, both on South Pacific campaigns. My dad met my mom on his way home to bury his brother. Life plays wicked games, so let’s honor democracy by honoring the fallen this holiday
— priralyn (@priralyn) May 30, 2022
How obsessed with politics do you have to be to tweet something like this lol
— Stef (@Stefanltweets) May 30, 2022
As a veteran. Go copulate yourself.
— H (@HuntMontana1) May 30, 2022
First, we don’t live in a democracy. We live in a democratic republic. You would well to remember it before proclaiming your civic ignorance all over Twitter. Second this tweet is pathetic posturing… even for democrats.

So you diminish the service of millions of veterans because they don’t believe in your ideology? The contrast couldn’t be sharper they love and served their country you just want to divide.

Nothing like honoring the memories of our fallen soldiers by using it as an excuse to politically attack others. Great job guy…

“On Memorial Day”?!?? GASP!!
— Johnny Ryall 🇺🇸 (@johnnyRyall11) May 30, 2022
This ☝️ is an example of what's called 'an obsession'.
— mallen2010 (@mallen_2010) May 30, 2022
Wow. Way to use Memorial Day to bash your political opponents. What an ass.

Goldman’s political aspirations along with his elevated profile as an “impeachment gladiator” spurred his run to be New York’s Attorney General last year although he dropped out of the race after current AG Letitia “Tish” James declined to mount her own run for the state’s governor.
Our nation faces an existential threat to our democratic ideals and the rule of law.
I’ve been on the front lines as a prosecutor and as impeachment counsel of Donald Trump. Now it’s time to lead again in today’s big fights.
That’s why I’m running for NY Attorney General. pic.twitter.com/kX1vZuR7sF

In other Memorial Day remarks from Democrats, President Joe Biden who has ruled like a dictator inadvertently said the quiet part out loud.
Biden on #MemorialDay: "Democracy is not perfect. It's never been good.”

The lack of respect by Democrats for Memorial Day and the fallen heroes who died to protect the American way of life is truly a sad testament to how far the party has strayed from the values of its iconic heroes FDR and JFK but sadly, it’s par for the course for a political entity that has gone over to the dark side.
