California Gov. Gavin Newsom, a Democrat who enacted yet personally refused to abide by some of the toughest COVID restrictions in the country, has contracted COVID, and critics say it’s because “karma” has finally caught up to him.
“This AM, I tested positive for COVID-19 and am currently experiencing mild symptoms. Grateful to be vaccinated & for treatments like Paxlovid,” Newsom announced Saturday evening on Twitter.
“I’m following health guidelines and will be isolating while I work remotely. Wishing everyone a safe & healthy Memorial Day weekend,” he added.

The announcement came just a few short hours after he met with New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern in San Francisco to reportedly sign a climate change pledge.
Critics believe Newsom likely contracted COVID from Ardern, who herself contracted a particularly nasty version of it earlier this month.
“New Zealand prime minister Jacinda Ardern has said she’s lost her sense of taste after contracting Covid,” The Independent reported on May 19th.
Critics say it’s ironic, because much like Newsom, Ardern was also known for enacting some of the toughest lockdown restrictions in the world.

However, unlike Newsom, Ardern didn’t flagrantly violate every single one of her own rules.
As reported previously by BizPac Review, Newsom has a history of lecturing the public about the need to follow COVID restrictions, but then turning around and flouting every single one of them multiple times.
Some of the more cynical critics say therefore that Newsom is now getting “a taste of his own medicine,” in addition to a taste of karma.

Mr Newsom, I’d like to introduce you to my friend, Mr Karma….9

Couldn’t happen to a better guy. Getting a taste of his one medicine.

CA health guidelines are that you be sent far away on vaccine lockdown isolation somewhere in the middle of death valley .. have a nice lockdown.

You left out the part about catching it from the NZ PM who, herself, was a lockdown queen

It’s didn’t help Newsom’s case that earlier Saturday, he attacked former President Donald Trump for breaking out into a dance at the National Rifle Association’s annual conference this weekend in Houston.
“Children were gunned down and Trump and the NRA are dancing,” he wrote in a tweet.

The tweet prompted anger from members of the public who quick eager to point out to him that he’s in no position to complain about others’ behavior.
Look:
People were told to lock down in place due to a serious and Gavin was publicly partying and his favorite restaurant- whose the hypocrite?

Not only is he a raging hypocrite vis-a-vis his COVID restriction-violating behavior, they argued, but he’s also someone who’s shown little concern about all the shootings and murders occurring in his own state.
“After more than two years of empty streets and withering commerce, California’s capital city seemed to be getting back to its pre-pandemic self this weekend. Thousands turned out for a concert at the downtown Golden 1 Center featuring Tyler, the Creator, and crowds filled the nearby bars, spilling into the spring night,” The New York Times reported on April 3rd.
“In an explosion of violence with echoes across the country, however, that buoyant mood was shattered early Sunday with a barrage of gunfire as revelers were leaving nightclubs. At least six people were killed and at least 12 were wounded in the largest mass shooting in Sacramento history, authorities said.”
Another mass shooting happened a month later.
“A gunman attacked a lunch banquet at a Taiwanese church in Laguna Woods, killing one person and wounding five others Sunday before congregants tackled him, hogtied him with an extension cord and grabbed his two weapons, authorities said,” the Los Angeles Times reported on May 15th.
How did the governor respond to the mass shooting in Laguna Woods? By ignoring it and instead celebrating Passover.
Wishing everyone joy and blessings at Passover tonight and throughout the year! Chag Sameach!

Hey dummy. You let all the criminals out and there was a mass shooting in downtown Sacramento becuase of it. So you are just as complicit in these things. Tough gun laws don’t mean shit if you don’t enforce them. You hypocrite

Really, what happened at the church last week in LA?? What happened in Sacramento a few weeks ago??? Oh that’s right mass shootings! Start pointing the finger at yourself you HYPOCRITE!
