Dem strategist: ‘Republicans want to force you to have kids so they have something to shoot at’

Twitter users are angry and voicing strong opposition to a Democratic strategist who is boldly claiming that Republicans dislike abortion because they want parents to have something at which to shoot their guns.

In the wake of this Tuesday’s shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas — the 7th deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history since Columbine High School in 1999 — Democrat consultant and political strategist Adam Parkhomenko recklessly tweeted such a statement just after midnight.

The mass shooting, in which an alleged 18-year-old with a gun killed 19 children, and two teachers, and injured 17 other people, occurred midday in the small town just west of San Antonio, Texas, according to police officials.

Although Democrats’ frustration with the increase in violence in the United States is understandable — especially given that Tuesday’s shooting arrived on the heels of another recent mass shooting at a Tops grocery store in Buffalo, New York — the alleged Texas shooter’s motivations remain unclear, at this point.

And most human beings understand that Republican opposition to abortion and support for the right to own firearms has little to do with the desire to force women to give birth in order for mass shooters to have more people to execute. Most human beings, anyway.

Yet, Parkhomenko was not the only individual who expressed this kind of statement. Remarkably, it seems other prominent Democrats could not resist this train of thought, either.

Lucy Flores, a social justice advocate, and former Nevada Assemblywoman, also left a similar remark on Twitter on Tuesday.

Minutes after Parkhomenko’s tweet, a Twitter user named Stephanie chimed in, responding to a comment from former Bill Clinton Labor Secretary Robert Reich.

However, many Twitter users responded with fury, very vocal in their disgust that these and several other Democrats would use the horrifying shooting as fodder for political leverage, let alone linking abortion opposition to the murder of children in mass shootings.

“Comparing a mass shooting to abortion is extremely stupid and disrespectful,” said a Twitter user named Stephanie, in response to Flores’ insensitive and foolish statement.

Several other tweets responded in kind to Parkhomenko.

“If they killed babies with guns, you’d be a lifetime NRA member”  Tweeted the conservative website LifeNews.com.

Young Americans for Liberty, on their official Twitter account, backed up Life News with a post that questioned the logic of making schools “gun-free” zones.

“We need less “gun-free zone” signs at our schools and more signs like this,” the organization’s tweet said, showing a photo of a sign that read, “Please be aware that the staff … may be armed and will use whatever force is necessary to protect our students.”

With many mass shootings in the United States occurring inside such zones, this poses the question, do “gun-free” zones invite mass shootings by assuring a shooter there will be no equal resistance to his or her crime?

“I get your frustration, Adam,” was Kailua Kyle’s response to Parkhomenko, “but being an absolute douche won’t help here. Be better.”

    1. Well…they did fail at making sure baby formula was addressed from the get-go. Last I had read 2 babies had to be hospitalized. They seem to have all their bases covered to harm the young and unborn. For them it’s more like 2 birds with one stone.
