Jon Voight in cryptic video: Trump ‘was told that he could not sit in that chair’

Legendary conservative actor Jon Voight wears his patriotism, his love for America and his Christian faith on his sleeve, and as a loyal supporter of former President Donald J. Trump, he continues to provide hope for a better future as an alternative to the darkness of the present.

The award-winning performer whose career has spanned six decades took to Twitter on Saturday to deliver a cryptic message that could be interpreted as referring to the pandemic years including words about the historic Republican president who was denied a second term, saying that Trump “was told that he could not sit in that chair” without further elaboration.

In the short video entitled, “This life we live,” Voight said, “A life that was turned upside down, we lost family members, we were kept apart and we lost our love for life, our hope, our faith and we shut down. ”

“Through the dark we found some light, we made music, we cooked, we tried to laugh, but life was dark.” he said. “We stood the test of time for our trail on this earth, we made it through and lived to tell this tale but we lost good people through the loss of our president’s historic chair.”

“Our president Trump, with all his love for this nation was told, he cannot sit in that chair,” he said. “We lost good people through this darkness yet we stood the time and now we’re heading for the opening of God’s light.”

“For every family to meet again, to greet again, to love again, we’ll have a memory to share but it will be with many tears, this life we live was turned upside down,” he added. “But now I’m here to say that we will rise for we are here now and we are living the story of God’s glory, a family of love, a family of truths, we may have lost loved ones but we haven’t lost our soul, our trust, our hope, our love, our blessings, our justice. our nation’s gifted role and our home.”

“The land, the soil, the grounds of the American dream, land of the free where our flag waves proudly and her light, her torch will  never let us down again, God bless,” he concluded.

Voight appeared in such iconic classics as Deliverance, Midnight Cowboy, Heat, Runaway Train, Enemy Of The State, and Coming Home for which he won the Best Actor Oscar in 1978 for his stunning portrayal of a paraplegic Vietnam vet, he also acted in television including a long-running role in the series Ray Donovan as the title character’s father Mickey Donovan.

During his long career in Hollywood, Voight initially fell under the sway of the left but eventually saw their true colors, an experience that he described in captivating details.

In another video posted to Twitter by the actor last month, the devoutly religious Voight talked of a “world in turmoil and a world of deceit with lies” that has “lost the morals of what once was, of goodness, of peace and greatness, the land of the free but now our children are learning negativity.”

“Our streets are filled with criminals who are robbing innocent people, stealing, it’s a world that has been turned upside down with injustice, but not for long because the power of God is greater than man,” he said.

“He shall bring back the light, the justice, the morals so our children can be children and our streets can be safe, where one can wear what they want without being robbed,” he said. “Our life is precious, our dreams are real, our love, our faith, our hope, our future, our moments are a gift, let us pray that he will show us all who is the true force, he the power of God, the power of man’s truths, the power of good over evil.”

Voight was honored by Trump with a National Medal of Arts medal in 2019.
