Trump dumps on Fox News, urges CNN to go right: ‘Nobody’s watching… what the hell have they got to lose?’

Former President Donald Trump voiced his concerns about the failing integrity of Fox News Saturday and suggested CNN could capitalize on the conservative market offering, “what the hell have they got to lose?”

Trump is once again hitting his stride on social media since his TruthSocial platform got up and running. Ahead of a stop on the American Freedom Tour in Austin, TX where he would be joined by conservative figures that included former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and documentary filmmaker Dinesh D’Souza, the president had some choice words for the varied cable news networks.

“CNN should go Conservative and take over the greatest, strongest, and most powerful BASE in U.S. history,” Trump posted on his TruthSocial account. “Nobody is watching CNN’s Fake News now so, as I say, what the hell have they got to lose?”

“Sadly,” he conceded, “they’re too stupid to make the change!”

The reason Trump suggested CNN could make such a move stemmed from his assessment that Fox News had left a vacuum to fill. “Fox News is no longer Fox News,” he declared making the case that they were just another corporate shill unconcerned with reporting what matters most to the American people.

To support his claim, the president noted, “They won’t even show or discuss the greatest & most impactful documentary of our time, ‘2000 Mules.’ The Radical Left Democrats are thrilled – They don’t want the TRUTH to get out.”

“Depressing to watch what has happened to Fox!” he concluded on that point.

Trump has been a vocal supporter of D’Souza’s documentary, “2000 Mules,” and its investigation into the alleged illegal ballot harvesting that took place during the 2020 presidential election. The film was made in cooperation with True the Vote and its president and founder Catherine Engelbrecht who has testified before officials on her findings that, in part, used “both video surveillance and geospatial data to track and analyze drop box traffic patterns,” to identify disparities.

Throughout the promotion of his documentary, D’Souza has also been vocal about the perceived failings of Fox News and Newsmax in covering the content of the film.

D’Souza likened the behavior to that of the suppression of the Hunter Biden laptop story prior to the 2020 election, which he noted Fox News had spoken out against. He added, “If Fox is being blocked from mentioning ‘2000 Mules’ by its lawyers, it needs to fire its lawyers. They let Fox get into ruinous litigation over what they did allow, and now want to cover their butts by shutting down a completely legitimate news story of massive public interest.”

After D’Souza called out Newsmax for cancelling his previously scheduled appearance to discuss the film, the network issued a statement in response.

“We’ve extensively covered the 2020 election, its results, and President Trump’s challenges to the race,” they said in part. “Voter integrity issues are of national importance.”

In support of Trump’s claim that CNN is too stupid to make a change, one social media user pointed out, “If 2000 Mules wasn’t accurate CNN wouldn’t be able to shut up about it.”

  1. Except for Tucker, Ingraham, and Gutfeld for laughs… FNC is useless. Like ALL ‘our conservative media/pundits’, one should only get bits and pieces to find PARTS of truths…

    1. The main reason Gutfeld is so funny is the large measure of truth contained in the comments made by him and his guests each night on his top-rated show.

  2. I got two eyes and ears. I don’t need any talking head to tell me what to believe or how to vote . I never had a free ride and I don’t want to pay for someone else to suck the government titty . I was a Democrat for 45-years no more .Joe Biden is by far the totally worst President this Country has ever seen.

  3. I quit Fox a long time ago and then Fox Business too! I don’t want to have by butt kissed – I just want to hear the TRUTH!!

  4. I make more then $12,000 a month online. It’s enough to comfortably replace my old jobs income, especially considering I only work about 11 to 12 hours a week from home. I was amazed how easy it was after I tried it…
    🙂 AND GOOD LUCK.:)

  5. D’Souza and strong conservatives like him need to be protected at all costs! They are literally the only hope America has.

Well, them and the millions of other conservatives in this country who own kits of guns and are very proficient with them.

  6. Since when has Fox News been a right-wing news outlet? If memory serves me right they took most of night to declare Trump the winner of Florida in 2016. Fox News sat on the results even with 99% of the vote in and only the panhandle left to count. Trump won that state by a wide margin. Fox News is fake news

  7. I suppose I get it. Our own Government, “Democrats and GOP” is going after Americans and even other Government elected officials as criminals who caused Jan 6 just by agreeing that Trump and conservatives were cheated in the 2020 election. That fraud actually did take place. That is against our 1st amendment and there seems to be nothing no one can do about it. Fox News and even Newsman does not want to be named by Biden’s disinformation bureau as insurrectionist and targeted by his DOJ goon squad.

  8. Trump is certainly right about Fox. I haven’t watched television for nearly a decade but I quit the Fox news website awhile back because of overly sensitive moderators who flagged a couple completely innocuous comments that wouldn’t have gotten their attention a few years ago. Fox seems to be developing an increasing intolerance toward the 1st Amendment as of late.

Carlson and Gutfeld should start looking for other opportunities and bail on Fox as soon as their contracts expire.
