Al Franken pushes outlandish theory on SCOTUS leaker, then walks it back trying to rationalize it

Disgraced former Democrat senator Al Franken is peddling a nutty conspiracy theory that conservative Justice Samuel Alito is behind the leaking of a Supreme Court draft document that has triggered the latest wave of insurrectionist behavior from “woke” activists.

Franken’s remarks came during the latest edition of his podcast, “The Al Franken Podcast” after he played a clip of Republican Senator Ted Cruz discussing where the leak came from; the Texas Republican has suggested that the culprit may have been operating out of the office of far-left Justice Sonia Sotomayor on his own podcast “The Verdict” last week.

According to the man who became famous for his classic “Saturday Night Live” character Stuart Smalley, “The Supreme Court’s in-house police led by Marshal Gail Curley will investigate who leaked it, but Ted Cruz knows that Marshal Curley can limit her search to clerks for the three liberal justices.”

He then teed up a clip of Cruz saying, “What it means is that there was some angry left-wing law clerk who breached the trust to his or her justice, who breached the trust to the Supreme Court, who breached the trust of the American people, and took a first draft of an opinion and decided to leak it to everyone.”

“Now the reason you know Ted’s right is because of how sure he is of it,” Franken said as he teed up another clip of his former Senate colleague. “So, given Ted’s track record I’d say the leaker isn’t a liberal clerk but Justice Sam Alito.”

“He’s very proud of this draft and knows that, you know. there are some crazy things in it,” Franken continued, “stuff he’s very proud of but that can’t possibly survive.”

For example, this, ‘The Constitution makes no express reference to a right to obtain an abortion.’ That’s in his opinion here,” he said. “Well, let me tell you why the Constitution makes no express reference to a right to obtain an abortion.”

“The founding fathers were men, I myself had figured that out in grade school,” Franken explained. “In the Constitution, men were given the right to vote, not women. Men were given the right to own property, not women,”

“Some men were given the right to own property in the Constitution, he added. “Women, some women, married women were given the right to own property, only 60 years later, and because men, some men, white property-owning men were given the right to vote in the Constitution, it was only a matter of time, just 130 years, that women got the right to vote,” Franken said.

“But men, unfortunately, were not given the right to an abortion in the Constitution, and there’s a reason for that – men can’t get pregnant,” the ex-lawmaker said, a truthful statement that goes completely against modern leftist dogma which insists otherwise.

And so, as Alito writes in his landmark decision the Constitution makes no express reference to a right to obtain an abortion,” he added.

“You know, I’m thinking a liberal clerk did release it to show how f**king stupid and hateful this decision is,” he said, walking back his earlier assertion that Alito was the leaker.

The Minnesota Democrat was run out of office by his own party during the initial outbreak of the MeToo hysteria when images emerged of him allegedly groping a sleeping female on a plane during a USO tour to entertain troops in Afghanistan along with allegations from the woman, radio broadcaster Leeann Tweeden that “fish lips” Franken forcibly kissed her, sticking his “wet and slimy” tongue into her mouth followed by additional accusations from other women who came forward with their own accounts of his sexually inappropriate conduct.

The pack of female Democrat lawmakers led by Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand of New York who demanded Franken’s resignation forced out one of the most popular members of their own party who has kept a relatively low profile since his inglorious departure from Congress, but he’s nuttier than ever.

  1. Jeez Al, men cant get pregnant? Get with it dude. You have been out of politics too long. The ” new science” makes you a giver of disinformation. Maybe better confer with our new press secretary, she will straighten you out!!!!😏

  2. al franked and the word “rationalize” do not belong in the same sentence or article!!!!!!!

  3. Al went from being unfunny on SNL to hilarious as a Senator. Now he’s just a gas bag with a microphone. Who cares what Al thinks?

    1. He was one of the new cast members that assisted me in my decision to stop watching SNL. The new people they were bringing on just weren’t funny.

  4. Looks like he’s trying to get back into comedy. His act needs a LOT of work.

  5. Franken is not that bright, it shows every time he opens his mouth. He does have foot/mouth disease. LOL

  6. Yea moron, Alito wants Democrat nut jobs on bull horns and banging drums outside his house terrorizing his neighborhood

  7. I was expecting his theory to be that republicans leaked it to keep the decision from going through. After all, how many have heard or said republicans only have abortion and the promise to overturn it going for them?
Either way, his reasoning about why there’s no explicit right to abortion in the Constitution is rather damning in its own right. It’s one thing to say the Founding Fathers were racist and misogynist (they were complicated and had their faults, but this isn’t a fair characterization). It’s another to insist that means the Constitution is wrong, and should be repudiated, without the people’s consent. He doesn’t say that second thing, but it’s exactly what you have to say when you offer that rationalization for the shoddy reasoning behind any case of SCOTUS overreach, whatever direction it goes in.

    1. Back in the day, abortions would have been within the purview of the church and not for the government to decide.
Frankin is unqualified to be a lawmaker, as are many Democrats.

  8. The leaker is the completely unqualified ignorant gender/race obsessed slob Sotomayor, slave to her massa, the traitor Obama who holds her leash, who is slave to his massa, Soros, who hold Barry’s leash. Stuie Smalley is desperately trying to buy back into the game with this stupid lie; it’s not gonna happen, ya fat groper troll. Some dem scumbag has called for burning the houses and property of Justices Alito, Roberts and Kavanaugh. I heard someone this morning calling for the burning of the houses of Sotomayor, Obama and Soros, with them in them. Not such a bad idea.

  9. You’d think nutty “Al” would have learned by now that not only does the “left” eat their own and spit’em out, that conservatives would never stop keeping him watched either. Al is the prime example of a dumbmass liberal … he to this day believes he was innocent of sexual deeds, and groping women … the photos an women who testified are still out there.

  10. I see Al is back doing comedy, the only profession his mom told him he’d be good at. If only little Al had take Toobin’s advice, and not chase women, but get there anyway by taking his pleasure into his own hands.

  11. lol, franken is dumber than a rock or a chia pet! I thought he went away. Get rid of him I can’t stand to look at him.

  12. Let the idiot have his idiotic opinions. At least he’s no longer bringing down the collective IQ of the senate.

    1. Franken’s IQ is so low it doesn’t even register on the intelligence quotient scale.
