Senator Ted Cruz had strong words for President Joe Biden on a weekend when the safety of six conservative Supreme Court justices and their families has been put in jeopardy with leftist mobs on the prowl in the neighborhoods where they live.
The Texas Republican joined host Fox News host Maria Bartiromo on “Sunday Morning Futures” for an extended appearance in which he broke down the events of the last week following the leak of a draft Supreme Court opinion to Politico which published it, infuriating Democrats who have spent days egging on the same types who rampaged in cities across the nation two summers ago after the unfortunate death of career criminal and drug addict George Floyd.
In recalling that terrible summer of violence and rage, Cruz tore into Biden who has done nothing to dial down the emotions of leftists who falsely believe that abortion would be outlawed if Roe v. Wade is overturned if conservative Justice Samuel Alito’s opinion reflects the attitude of the court.
Senator Cruz slammed the nation’s 46th president who lied about being a unifier during his election campaign, calling out his refusal to condemn the mob intimidation of sitting Supreme Court justices as “disgraceful” while noting that, as the former head of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Biden should be fully aware of the impact of his silence.
He discussed with Bartiromo the upcoming effort by Senate Democrats to “codify” Roe v. Wade which according to Cruz, will likely be the same “radical” bill that has already gone down to defeat, saying that it has no chance of passing again this time.
The conversation turned to the leak itself with Cruz commenting on the ongoing investigation to find the culprit, which he said likely is a member of a “small pool of suspects” who would be able to access the document.
“So who do you think it is?” Bartiromo asked.
“I think it’s one of those twelve law clerks,” Cruz said, referring to those who are clerking for the leftist justices. “This is the culmination of a multiyear campaign from Senate Democrats to politicize and destroy the court, and it’s had many aspects.”
“It featured Chuck Schumer standing on steps of the court calling out justices by name, threatening to unleash the whirlwind, that they won’t know what hit them if they don’t vote the way Schumer wants, that’s incredibly destructive to the court,” he said, referring to the incendiary and irresponsible rhetoric of the Senate Majority Leader.
“I want to tell you Gorsuch. I want to tell you Kavanugh. You have released the whirlwind, and you will pay the price!”

“It features Senate Democrats threatening to pack the supreme court, to add four left-wing justices immediately and grow it to thirteen justices,” Cruz added, “and I think what happened here is you had some left-wing, woke twit who decided that he or she was so upset, that they were going to violate the trust they owe to their justice, to the court, to the rule of law, and, Maria, it is difficult to overstate just how destructive this is to the court.”
Asked by the host about the mob intimidation after addresses of the conservative justices were published, Cruz said, “Well, that was the intent of this clerk, we’ve got left-wing groups now that have published the addresses of justices.”
“The intent of this clerk was to bully and threaten and intimidate the justices to changing their votes and I’ve got to say this week, it was shameful that the White House refused to condemn violent protesters threatening the families of the Supreme Court,” he added.
“It is disgraceful, and Joe Biden used to be chairman of the Judiciary Committee,” he said. “Joe Biden knows it’s disgraceful, he’s literally threatening the lives of these justices by the mob they’re unleashing, it’s the same thing we saw with Black Lives Matter and Antifa riots where the left embraced them, and now they’re embracing mob violence to get their partisan outcome.”
While Biden and Democrat leaders could call for moderation, it’s probably unlikely considering their refusal to speak out against the anarchy in 2020.
