‘More of this’: Fire set to Wisconsin anti-abortion office celebrated by reporter

A Wisconsin-based pro-life group was targeted on Mother’s Day by someone who reportedly threw a Molotov cocktail into their capitol city office and set the office on fire – which in turn prompted a reporter to wish death on anti-abortion advocates.

Outside of the building that housed the non-profit, the aggressors graffitied the wall in cursive with, “if abortions aren’t safe then you aren’t either.”

The attack was presumably in response to the leaked Supreme Court draft opinion that, if approved in its current form, would overturn the 1973 decision Roe v. Wade and unleash the oversight of abortion laws back to the states.

Videos and photos circulating online show the Wisconsin Family Action (WFA) office in disarray with multiple boarded-up windows, crumbling drywall, a flipped-over chair, and ashes on the ground. According to WISC-TV, a fire was started in the building just after 6 a.m.

As of Sunday evening, no group had identified itself as responsible for the damage, but that didn’t stop a pro-baby-aborting reporter to celebrate the threat and violence, and encouraging “more of this.”

“More of this,” wrote Caroline Reilly, who is a reporter for Rewire News Group. “may these people never know a moment of peace or safety until they rot in the ground.”

She sounds like such a lovely person.

Reilly is a self-proclaimed “reproductive justice advocate” who has published articles for Bitch Media, Teen Vogue, and The Washington Post.

WFA President Julaine Appling told reporters that she thought the protestors were out of bounds.

“We get veiled and not so veiled threats from time to time,” she said. “We’ve never had anything that materialized like this.”

“We can all disagree,” Appling said. “People disagree with me all the time. I don’t go threaten them.”

The Madison Chief of Police issued a statement condemning the violence on Sunday and is scheduled to hold a press conference at 2 p.m. on Monday with more details of the attack.

“The Madison Police Department understands members of our community are feeling deep emotions due to the recent news involving the United States Supreme Court,” said police chief Shon Barnes in a statement. “Early Sunday morning, our team began investigating a suspicious fire inside an office building on the city’s north side. It appears a specific non-profit that supports anti-abortion measures was targeted.”

“Our department has and continues to support people being able to speak freely and openly about their beliefs,” he noted. “But we feel that any acts of violence, including the destruction of property, do not aid in any cause. We have made our federal partners aware of this incident and are working with them and the Madison Fire Department as we investigate this arson.”

Trying to make sense of the senseless violence, several people commented about the incident.

Across the country, other pro-abortion groups were planning “mostly peaceful protests” for Mother’s Day, too.

One radical abortion advocacy group called Ruth Sent Us threatened to burn the Holy Communion in response to the potential 180-degree turn on Roe v. Wade.

“Stuff your rosaries and your weaponized prayer,” the group replied. “We will remain outraged after this weekend, so keep praying. We’ll be burning the Eucharist to show our disgust for the abuse Catholic Churches have condoned for centuries.”

  1. Caroline Reilly needs to be held legally responsible for ALL injuries, damage and deaths resulting from ANY action after she spoke those words. And “Tommy’s garage” needs to be held responsible for the death of bizpacreview.com

  2. Fight fire with fire I always say.
Time to start burning down abortion clinics

  3. WHERE ARE THE MODERATORS who are supposed to delete these ubiquitous spam posts that spoil the comments of nearly every article published by BPR? And why can’t we “block” them ourselves like we can with disqus?

And besides absolutely NOTHING, what’s being done to correct the effing problem with the effing f key?

  4. Used to wonder if I would still be young enough to actually be an asset in civil war 2.0.
    Now, not so much.

  5. To all you leftist liberals who believe that thought and opinion, other than your own, should be met with violence; Please, Please, PLEASE “keep poking the bear”!! If you do not understand the term, look it up if you are capable otherwise think about it and take a guess.

As you continue with your childish responses, unintelligible responses and temper tantrums (your lack of maturity and intellect is showing) you will continue to fuel those with opposing viewpoints. That “fuel” will remain dormant until you poke one too many times. At that point, you will see a reaction by those you have tried to intimidate, that will be a very strong backlash that you will NEVER forget in your life time.

    NEVER POKE THE BEAR!!

  6. This is all our America and her red blooded Americans are ever going to get as long as one dumacrat is left on this earth. Exterminate the cockroaches now before they spread their disease’s even further!!!

  7. It appears the REAL domestic terrorists are doing their dirty work again. Not that they ever quit, it is simply their level of violence.

    1. I am starting to agree with these pro choice crowd. I truly believe that they all should have been aborted. the world would have been a normal place to live.

  8. Caroline Reilly sounds like a true psychopath. What a terrible and evil person.

  9. The left ALWAYS resorts to violence when they don’t get their way, like 2-year-olds throwing things when having a tantrum. They aren’t Democrats, they are Anti-democracycrats.

    1. Indeed. Very few democrats in politics comport themselves as adults. The word “petulant” is one of many terms that accurately defines them.
